Originally we sat down at the restaurant just across from imabari, after 5 minutes of not being served and a general dislike for the vibes we decided to have a look at imabari, and BOI I'm glad we did, the whole atmosphere was great, different assortment of seating all situated just next to the sea with 10/10 views, some lively music playin which might be a bit loud for some but tune selection was more than adequate. The service from the get go was fast and polite, and with a smile. The drinks and cocktail selection was as expansive as the sahara desert itself. I went with the watermelon soda which tasted of basically liquid watermelon and not overly sweet which was what I was hoping for, the menu was really diverse with all sorts of starters, salads, a selection of burgers and main courses, I went with a Jamaican style chicken and pineapple rice and it was ExQuiSitE, an enormous serving for just €10, very authentic and rich. definitely fresh produce. my gf got a shrimp noodle dish which was was tasty but the only complaint was that it was a little lackluster on the shrimps. Aside from this everything was perfect, 100% come again and couldn't...
Read moreI’m not one to post reviews however I went to Imabari twice because I believe you should give second chances to places after a negative experience. The first time I went for drinks at night with a friend - we waited 30-40 minutes for a waiter to take our order. I asked the waiter twice to come take our order and each time they said yes one minute. In the end we left. The second time we went during the day, again we had to ask to be served twice but this time someone did come! There are no vegan or vegetarian options on the menu apart from an Asian side salad. Apparently there aren’t enough non meat eaters to put even one option on the mains (or at least something you can remove the meat from). Food was overpriced for what it was and totally not worth it. It’s a shame because the place is amazing. It has an amazing atmosphere but I must say one of the 3 staff we encountered gave off really negative vibes especially when I questioned the lack of vegetarian and vegan options. This place needs some serious reorganisation from the management. The hostess was very kind and...
Read moreReturned to Corfu and visited again this place which is easily approached when staying in the city center. I was shocked to discover an extreme raise in the pricing of the chairs (which they present as sunbeds but they are not) without however seeing the slightest change in the place or the service for that matter. Seeing this abuse in the name of money, asking people to pay 50 euros for a set of chairs and not even offering a glass of water, asking 4 euros for a bottle of water (in Greece! - I am Greek and 4 euros for water is just not acceptable) and 16 euros for a club sundwich (!) is the epitome of profiteering. Additionally, the food is disappointing, as well as the drinks and the whole place is not well taken care of. Just asking for money without even paying attention to the basics. Disappointed to see such a location getting worse instead of better. Unapproachable for Greeks due to the overpricing this place is the exact opposite of sustainable tourism. Beyond...
