Ortholithi — Restaurant in Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands

Everything was special! The people, the ambient, all! I must admit that on the whole island I have not met a tavern with more welcoming and kind people than here. The food was delicious and plentiful at the good prices (I even received dessert from the house - melons and grapes). The atmosphere they created at the Greek Evening was extraordinary. They served us Ouzo from the house, they took us dancing, we broken a lot of plates :))), all without any extra cost (on the payment note only what we ordered and nothing more), which you rarely find in Corfu island. We went on Monday to book for the Greek evening on Wednesday, but since they had no more seats, they asked us to go on Friday because it is nicer. I told them that on Friday we were celebrating 22 years of marriage and they gave us a big surprise: they offered us a cake, a dance and a champagne from the house. They were very welcoming and we enjoyed this special evening together. I warmly recommend them for a meal for two or as a family, for a special Greek evening or for any event. I was really excited to go to the Greek Night at this restaurant. I made reservations 2 days ahead of time and I saw them write it down. When I got to the restaurant around 20:00 they couldn’t find my reservation. They write reservations in a book but then transfer them to a different piece of paper for some reason. I was told to wait on the side while they helped others. The lady who took my reservation eventually found it in the book but they couldn’t/wouldn’t do anything (would have been nice to have been offered any sort of solution…found an extra table for the exactly this type of situation, etc.). I’m really disappointed. They admitted they had my reservation but just had not saved a table for me. I’ve been to a few other Greek nights at other restaurants and they have never lost my reservation. I will be attending those in the future and never the one...

We had the greek meatballs which were just ok the margherita pizza was really bad, pizza base was not done, maybe some problems with the oven there, the bolognese were some pasta with same meat as from meatballs no sauce, lots of oregano in the pasta and on the pizza wich in the end when the guy asked me if everything was ok I wanted to give him a slice of pizza and he said no, I was given a discount of 50% for the pizza...and the Bolognese were in fact Napoli pasta because of the absence of any sauce. Not sure if I was charged with the price for Napoli pasta or Bolognese. One more thing learn to say Bolognese with the last e letter ffs!! Big disappointment! Should've not payed anything for the pizza and...
