Edit for your answer: Its easy to lay down on all the other good reviews which btw may be true. I'm writing this review so that others that want to go here know that there CAN be bad examples like ours. Also, as you can see, thats my first review on a restaurant so I clearly am not a "professional complainer". It was just the first time I was so disappointed with a restaurant that I felt the need to post a review. About the fresh food: I dont say its not fresh, it just didnt taste like it was. Ive eaten Souvlaki many times here and this was just easily by far the worst one. And btw: For 20,90€ you dont even get Tzatziki or Pita for your meal. The "hand-cut fries" were 50% hand-cut and 50% frozen fries looking. Just fyi. And because thats not the first review Ive seen here (some others literally experienced the exact same like me) maybe just take review seriously and try to make the things I mentioned better!
After reading all the good reviews and seeing how many people were eating at this place we decided to also try it out. And I must say...we were really disappointed. The food tasted like frozen food I would make myself at home. Meat was very dry and didnt taste fresh at all. Also the portions were really small. I paid 20,90€ for my Mixed Grill and what I got was: -1 Lamb Chop, 10 Pieces of Gyros, 1 Chicken Breast, 1 Sausage, 1 Souvlaki, maybe 7-8 Mini Fries Also the service was nice but not really competent. We ordered Coke Zero and what we got was normal Coke. We even said it twice so that there are no misunderstandings but seems like he didnt understand it anyways (we all speak good english). All in all we must say it was really disappointing and not even close to how good it was to the restaurants nearby (all are much better). If youre here, dont go there, its a...
Read moreA holiday highlight – thank you, Thalassa!
Thalassa is the place that truly made our holiday unforgettable! The beach club is fantastic — located on the best part of Agios Gordios beach, with the smoothest sea entrance and far fewer pebbles than other areas.
The sunbeds are super comfortable and free to use if you order something from the bar — such a great setup! Service at the beach starts from 11:00, but you can already choose your spot earlier, which is perfect if you’re an early bird.
The entire team was amazing, but a special shout-out to Ornella, who went above and beyond every single day. Her warm smile, thoughtful recommendations, and genuine care made us feel so welcome. She even helped us reserve our favorite sunbeds for the next day.
Prices are very reasonable — a full breakfast with coffee and fresh orange juice for just €8.50! We also loved ordering food directly to the beach (which isn’t always possible at other places) — huge portions, super tasty, and perfect for a full beach day.
And let’s talk about those mojitos… I must’ve had a gazillion of them! Thank you, Thalassa team, for keeping them flowing all day long 😄
We also had dinner one evening at the restaurant — the seafood platter for two was massive and incredibly fresh, and the house wine was surprisingly good (no headache the next day, always a win!).
And as if all this wasn’t enough — the sunsets here are absolutely breathtaking.
Huge thanks to the entire Thalassa team for creating such a relaxing, friendly, and enjoyable atmosphere. And once again, a heartfelt thank you to Ornella — you truly made our time special ❤️

Read moreThere were bees around the food — not a big issue — but the staff’s lack of attention really spoiled the experience. The gentleman in the pink shirt was kind and helpful, but unfortunately, the other staff member was quite rude and disrespectful. During the main course, we had no forks on the table, and when I took one from an empty table, I was actually warned about it, which was quite unpleasant.
In a place that mostly hosts tourists, a bit more care and attentiveness toward guests would definitely be expected.

Thank you for taking the time to reply ;
I’d like to clarify a few points as well.I just wanted to finish my food as happy..
When the bees began to disturb us, none of the staff approached or asked if we needed any assistance. We were simply trying to find a practical solution ourselves, in the absence of support. In such a situation, especially when guests are clearly uncomfortable, it would have been thoughtful to offer an alternative table or at least check in to see if we needed anything.
Regarding the fork, we were not provided with one during the main course and again, no one came by to ask if everything was okay. Basic attention to guests is not just appreciated — it’s expected, particularly in a setting that caters to international visitors.
We hope this feedback is received constructively, as it’s meant to help improve the...
