Peperi — Restaurant in Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands

What can I say? I’m not normally one to take time out to write a review. But boy, these guys deserve the works. I am so lucky I discovered them as they are in a side street. What can I say the tastiest gyros in Greece. It is done in a bbq rotisserie and contains real chicken thigh fillet or pork neck. The taste is amazing and the servings are absolutely massive. Best value in the whole of Corfu. A large pita with a few shavings of meat costs 7.5 euro around the town and for almost the same price here you get a serving the equivalent of six gyros. But although they represent value that’s not all. They grill all their various cuts of meat on the coal. Nothing is precooked and warmed up. I spent 17 nights in Corfu and I came here the 14 of them after I tried other places. In fact I would take a bus ride to come here especially. My work involves a lot of travel and I have eaten at many places around the world. All I can say is this place will not disappoint. Tasty delicious meals without the extravagant...

Just had the most delicious meal I’ve had in Corfu with the pastitsada (corfu’s local cuisine) with the most tender beef imaginable. Very juicy and very generous with the meat serving and the pasta was served aaldente. The staff were friendly, got seated quite quickly, and food came out promptly. One of, if not the best place for traditional Greek food in the old town. The salads are all fresh, light and artfully crafted and the quality of the meat used in the main dishes is superior.
