Very friendly owners, fast, funny and good service. Garlic bread with Tsatsiki from the house - very kind. We ordered Pizza Speciale and fresh fish (sea bream). Both was fresh and tasty. As we mentioned that we did the Samaria Gorge today, the owner gave us cream for our tired and hurting legs uns said he will bring us something that we can sleep well. Got some plum schnaps from Romania and Limoncello - thanks for that ❤️ This is not usual and we really appreciate it. The rose wine we had was also great. Family run little taverna in the heart of Crete. We visited several times because of the excellent food, the welcoming environment and because of Valer, the business owner who tried to guess our every thoughts. He also prepared us a pie based on an ancient greek recipe. If you wonder around Stalos and you got no clue where to have a meal, you need to try this place! You will surely come back! Prices was over average and the quality didn't match. We have the mixed meat plante and there were plenty of food and we couldnt finish it all. The food though was okay, but it really lacked taste/spices. It had a nice flavour of grill but no spices made it rather dull. The salad was nice with a good vinaigrette.
