Irini's could not have been a better choice for me and what I was looking for. The structure is brand new and very clean (I think the structure was built about 2019.) The location was perfect for what I was looking for, and the energy and the family running the place was nicer I could have imagined.||The rooms are spacious, light and modern. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty space to unpack your stuff. Rooms have AC, a safe, hot water, hair dryer, rainshower, balcony, fridge and other kitchen utilities depending on the room you book. Rooms were cleaned everyday. ||Some of the utilities listed in the room, might not be in the room in itself, but they were easily accessible at the compound or by asking. (If you're looking for the coffee cups, there hidden in the back of the kitchen drawers, the ironing board is in the lobby). Honestly, there were more things than listed on booking sites available at the hotel and there's not enough words to describe the hospitality of the staff. ||The pool in the back was amazing. I got to use if most of the time by myself. It's calm, (you can hear the nature) and most importantly it was clean. Super awesome, if it's too windy to swim at the beach or you just want to not play around with the sand. There are sun loungers and umbrellas around the pool.||Just to mention, do not let the review of the noisy street stop you from staying at Irini's. If you're a light sleeper, maybe choose a room that doesn't have a balcony infront of the house (though they do have the best views to the beach). The traffic is not bad, and definitely nothing to worry about. But if you want to make sure you only hear nature sounds in the morning, the other rooms will serve you perfectly. ||The beach is one building away (you can see the beach from some of the balconies), and there are restaurants, ATM's, cafes and mini supermarkets across the street or next door. The local bus stop (Stalos stop 2, named Maria's (is opposite of Irini from Chania, and a couple of hundred meters when leaving to Chania). ||Chania center is 30 minutes by bus (1,60€), or 15 min by taxi. The airport is 30 minutes by taxi (35€ one way) and more by bus depending on the schedule. ||If you arrive by bus from the airport you will find a booth just outside the airport, you can by tickets and find the schedule. The bus takes you to Chania center where you have to change bus to Stalos. The schedules for the bus taking you to Stalos are available toward Stalos, but not coming back because the bus drives down to Maleme and returns when it can. The return time depends on how long it's takes for the bus to drop and pick up people on the way.. but in general busses go about every 30 min. ||Be mindful if the bus is full it won't pick up more passagers and you need to wait for the next one, but the drivers drive fast and keeps time. Besides you're on holiday, relax and just enjoy the wait. ||The beach in Stalos, is a sand beach but it has some pebbles that can sometimes make swimming tricky. There are life guards during daytimes and places to eat and drink at the beach. Sun loungers are usually free for restaurant customers. It's quite a calm beach so you can still find your own quite spot there. ||If you're looking for beach activities, proper nightlife, shopping, or the perfect beach for swimming head to Agia Marina or Palatanias. Both are reachable from Irini's by walking through the beach or the street. If you're feeling lazy the local bus and taxis will take you there. ||What made my stay at Irini's perfect in addition to the great location and great venue, was the family running it. Antonis and his family were just so amazing. His daughter and son were the cutest (heart breakers). The Antonis and his mother love what they do and their guests, and it doesn't go unnoticed. They go over and beyond to make you feel special, and to make your stay the best one. I felt I not only made new friends but gained a family at Irini's. ❤️||Undoubtedly, if or when I return to the island, there's only one place I would choose to go, and it is Irini's. I hope to stay in touch with Antonis, because his positive energy is just contagious and his curiosity for life is beautiful. Thank you for the talks, rakia, the love and care you showed me. I miss you already and hope to see you...
Read moreWe recently had the pleasure of staying at Irini Stalos Apartments, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The location is perfect, with the beach just a short walk away and the bus station conveniently located right across the street, making it easy to explore the area.
The apartments are very clean, spacious, and well-maintained. We had requested a room facing the pool for a quieter stay, and the staff went out of their way to accommodate our request. The pool itself is spotless, and it's the perfect spot to relax during the day.
Breakfast was delicious, with fresh and tasty options each morning. While the selection wasn’t vast, everything was well-prepared, and we enjoyed it thoroughly. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, always ensuring we had everything we needed. They also provided us with great recommendations and handy tips for exploring Crete, which made our trip even more memorable.
Overall, I highly recommend Irini Stalos Apartments for anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. We had a wonderful time and would love to return...
Read moreThis is a fantastic place for families with children. The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We especially enjoyed the pool, which had inflatables available for guests to use free of charge—a great touch for families. The location is also ideal, with a wide selection of restaurants and bars nearby, including five located right on the waterfront, all serving delicious local cuisine. There are also several small supermarkets within a 3-minute walk, which was really convenient for quick snacks and essentials. As for the rooms, we had booked two. One was the perfect size for two people—comfortable and quiet. The larger room, however, faced the street, and we had to keep the windows closed at night due to the noise from passing cars. If you're a light sleeper, I’d recommend requesting a room facing the pool for a quieter experience. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would...
