Beware tourists are not welcomed here. As we were staying in a quiet part of Stalos and without a car, Tres Jolie was the closest place to grab an afternoon coffee/juice. Jolie it isnāt. We went a few times and the service was hit and miss, it really is the luck of the draw who serves you. As other reviews mentioned there is an obvious bias towards locals and if you are a tourist you are seen as a hindrance. Our last visit (thankfully as weāre leaving tomorrow) has tarnished what has been a lovely holiday in Crete. We ordered a cappuccino and 2 smoothies. The cappuccino was sufficient, however the smoothies was a complete joke - they were 3/4 full and bland, the blond lady behind the counter can see the disgust on our faces but instead of addressing whether there were any issues, avoided eye contact and served the next customer. We are not one to cause a scene and did not want to embarrassed her as she was on her own and there were two other customers behind us (locals of course!) so we're voting with our feet and will never come back here. Iām sure the locals will line their pockets to keep them going so if youāre a tourist, I would avoid at all costs unless you are happy to be treated as second...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTourists beware of this place. From the start you are made aware of the fact that you are now welcome there, maybe it is just for locals, but why would anyone want to go to Not Jolie is beyond me. There is no list of prices, they make it up as they go along, paid three different prices for a capuccino three consecutive days. And then the rudeness and the attitude. After I just paid 26 euros for some stale croissants and baklavas I dared ask if they had put some sugar in the cappuccinoāsā¦Omgā¦Itās like I lit a fire under their derriĆØres, they were pointing at me and shouting to each other in Greek, and then the blond lady decided to enlighten me: āwhere I come from people do they not tell baristas how they want their cappuccinos from the start?āā¦ummā¦no, because where I come from baristas have manners and either ASK if you want sugar in your coffee or it is provided separateā¦the eye roll I got from both of them behind the counter was epicā¦:)ā¦my advice: go spend your hard earned money somewhere where youāre treated with a...

I had the mini hazelnut and pistachio croissant (so good!), and both times they made me scrambled eggs and bacon.
