Just run : People of chania are very nice, the restaurants are very good but not this one at all !!!!! We've ordered different dishes, I've ordered myself grilled octopus. After almost 30 minutes, the waiter came back to tell us that the octopus in red sauce with macaroni was no longer available so we said ok fine,my son chose something elese. The food came after another 45 min and the octopus i've ordered was too cooked with absolutely nothing with it!!!!! Not even olive oil (it should come with beam puree and staff) i said it's Ok put some olive oil from my son's plate 🥴. At the end of the dinner, the waiter put the bill in such a disrespecful way and left meanwhile they brought sweets and raki with the bill to all tables around us. We know very well chania for almost a decade and we have so many friends in here. I can tell with certainty that is the most rude treatment you can ever have. We left without making noise but this is by far the worst experience in chania and i can tell you that we've been to so many of them (we never cook on holiday). Zero for the service and shame on you for what you've done !!!!!! I repeat that most restaurants are very good and all cretan people we met are lovely very kind so don't get me wrong, this restaurant is...
Read moreVery disappointing. In my humble opinion they had too many tables and seats and not enough staff. The service was slow, it was hard to catch anyone’s eye to be served and when we did finally order they had run out of several things. Because it took so long to offer us alternatives our food all arrived at different times, some of our mains before we’d finished our starters! When we said we weren’t ready the waiter told us he’d brought our starters 20 minutes ago when in fact it had been only 5 minutes!!! Hence why we were all still eating. They were very apologetic at the end when we explained our disappointment and gave us our carafes of wine on the house. The food was all good apart from the potato and garlic ‘dip’ which was just cold mashed potato with garlic! Shame - we had booked for 6 people so they knew we were coming - for me there is nothing worse than being served meals at different times so you can’t all eat together. It’s a basic...
Read moreMy favorite spot in all of Chania. The view, the people, the service is incredible. A lot of locals come here during the morning and late into the night which to me is a very good sign.
If you sit by the café early you will see many different cars come by and drop of fresh goods, ranging from local farmers to smaller companies handling deliveries.
Many places in Chania especially in the old town are tourist traps, this is not one of them. A good sign for any restaurant anywhere in Europe is that they have no pictures of the food, just a normal menu.
Waiting time can differ, this is not a fast food place it is a restaurant with many many seats both inside, outside (both above and down by the boats)
The servers are very friendly and they don't mind striking up a conversation if you want to, which I like to do on vacation. They are cute too ;)
In short: Beautiful location by the port, good local food and friendly &...
