50/50 Mezedopolio — Restaurant in Municipality of Chania

We found this place whilst we were on our way from Chania old town. It’s in the middle of a very small village nearby called Stavros. Great food and great portions too. It’s run by a family and the lady taking care of us was really friendly and helpful. We ordered avoid grilled, chicken skewers. They don’t serve pasta unfortunately for us and kids had to take chicken nuggets instead which were still very tasty and good, served with pita bread. Water was given free in big bottles, same for ice cream for kids and Greek yogurt with honey and candied fruit for us adults accompanied by raki all free of charge. Antonio was by far the BEST part of our week trip to Greece ! His hospitality, customer service and energy will always be remembered! We enjoyed the food the wine the raki and overall experience! Terrible! We decided to try, as it was the only restaurant at Nea Chora that was open on the 1st Jan. The view is amazing but everything else is awful. The food was brought to us with a long delay and the quality was just terrible. Both my wife and myself had stomach pain for hours after.
