I had an amazing experience while visiting this bar, amazing stuff, the cocktails taste incredible, great location. What I particularly have to highlight is the staff's enthusiasm and willingness to listen and help. I'm a type 1 diabetic, which means any cocktail with sugar in it or carbohydrates makes me sick, it makes my bloodsugar go up too fast. I especially want to thank George who truly listened to my request and made up a cocktail without sugar and truly understood that he needs to put in ingredients that will not make me sick. His efforts really impressed me and for the first time I could enjoy my night while drinking tasteful drinks without feeling sick! 🙏 Every time I went to a bar and asked for alternatives with sweeteners instead of sugar, the staff never listened fully and did not understand my request or simply did not even try. Truly for the first time I felt understood and treated with respect to my condition which is really special to me! Thank you George for this experience, you made my night that I will always remember! I am truly thankful and will...
Read moreI ordered the 60-day dry aged T-bone steak for 80 euros, and it was disappointing. The piece I ordered was supposed to be 400g, I don't think it was. But the main thing is that it was cut very thin, maximum 1 cm when notmaly T-bone steaks are supposed to be around 3 cm thick. This makes it hard to cook properly, I asked for medium but got closer to well done. The sear on the steak that locked in the flavor was not there. You could see some small grill marks, but that's it. Because of this, the taste of it was like a normal steak. But the color was more white than red, looked almost more like pork than steak, which is misguiding when all the pictures in the meny shows blood red steaks. I am sure they can manage to cook steak properly, but this was a disaster for a steak that cost this much. However, the service was good, and they have a good sortiment of beer. Short; if I were you, I would just order the normal steaks, not the dry aged, at least not the...
Read moreThe Red Lion is one of the best restaurants in Malia. The british pub atmosphere is delightful and provides a good basis for a fun night. The pub is located at the heart of the strip of Malia close to the beach. The staff is very communicative and helpful. The menu is huge and there are food and drinks for anyone. The food is extraordinary and that at a comparativeley low price.
The whole staff is very nice but one guy is outstanding. His name is Aris and he is the nicest and most warm hearted person we ever met. He was always there for us and increased the fun by a lot. On the first day we were there, he even wrote us a list including the best attractions around malia which helped us a lot during our stay. Thanks to you!
All in all we really recommend anyone coming to Malia to try out the pub at...
