I was really disappointed to have this experience. First of all it’s very noisy, maybe for cocktails and etc it’s good but not for having dinner. I don’t want to say bad words but when we came and asked for place for 2 (and it was almost half empty) they acted like all is reserved, but it wasn’t like this. Appetizers they don’t give. So we’ve ordered for 12€ plate ONLY with bread, salad and olives! Then the main dish came and seasonal greens had a really bad bitter taste! And carrot ? Why the heck you put whole carrot in plate? Next to fish. And fish was also bad! So I couldn’t enjoy my food. For my BF we’ve ordered salmon with rise and it was so dry, like a desert! Wine was ok. But whole evening was ruined.

The place looks nice, but don’t judge a book by its cover. Awful atmosphere and terrible food, the music was so loud that you couldn’t speak at the same table. And the food… ordered some pasta carbonara, the menu said it was with pancetta and parmesan… just lies. Kaiser with some type of cheese + sour cream. It was just TERRIBLE, TASTELESS. It even lacked salt… not to say any other condiments. My girlfriend tried a Musaka. You’d think that the local traditional food is better… tasteless again, no condiments no nothing. Everything seems to be cooked in a hurry, waiting for the next order. Definitely do not recommend, very bad experience to end our holiday in Malia.

Me and my Dad visited Selene while we were away on a weeks holiday in May. We wanted to try a nice restaurant and sample some local cuisine which is where Selene caught our eye (& the cute girl at the front).

The restaurant has a great atmosphere with cool music, laugher and background chatter, definitely the most buzz in a restaurant I've seen in Malia. The service was efficient and matched the high-end feel to the establishment, the food tasted amazing (so good we had to order the Calamari again after our starters to have some more). We requested a seat at the front of the restaurant and Marina I think her name was, did an amazing job and got us a great table which made us both very happy.
