We were wandering around Haraklion when something just drew us in after we'd walked past a number of other more central hostelries. We must have a sixth sense though because the Gyros is superb and so is the host! We couldn't know then how much dedication and care the owner Chris takes with the ingredients he uses. He pays premium prices to get the best ingredients because he cares but he cannot pass the cost on to his clientelle. In fact, we were apparently one of the very few customers who chose to drink the local craft lager he offers - it's a bit more expensive but we were on holiday and we like micro-breweries so it was a treat. Nevertheless, he carries the local craft lager when normally it would only be found in more upmarket outlets. If you can, you should treat yourself to a visit here.
