Read moreVery unsafe for tourists. We should have listensed to the taxi driver when he said this market is in a poor area of the island. We very nearly got mugged. Very threatening man and woman followed us aggressively and pointing at us and talking to two other lads close by. We had young children and made to feel very very unsafe. This was all at the park next to the market. We also had 3 old gentlemen on the market stall saying my 14 year old daughter would be perfect for marriage.
