Alkyonides — Restaurant in Municipality of Kalamata

Okay, let me start with the positive. The food was pretty darn good (except for the moussaka, it wasn’t terrible but it was served lukewarm).

Now let’s continue with the negatives. Where to begin? First of all, you would think this was their first day of operations. The front of house staff were running around like headless chickens and the front of house lady (the only woman there) was vibrating in anger when we approached the tavern. I actually felt bad for one of the waiters so I won’t focus this too much on him, but mostly her. This woman was the most unproductive waitress I have ever seen in my life. I don’t think she served anyone other than a table who was waiting 45 minutes for two meals.

The more people who approached the restaurant, the more I wanted to warn them to run away, unless they had an extra 3 hours to spare of their night.

1 star for atmosphere as there was no music and no potential for any since they don’t have any speakers.

We also ordered a side of fries and extra bread which they didn’t bring to us, but included on the receipt. Had we not told them to remove the charges, we would’ve...

Should have checked the reviews, waited over an hour for food before we got up and left. Yes it was a large group (8 people) but the place was hardly busy, and three other tables were served before us. We got two salads, they were pathetic.
