Stylish Beach Bar with a Mykonos Vibe – Not Ideal for Solo Visitors

This beach bar on the eastern coast of Kalamata is clearly aiming for a more upscale experience, somewhat reminiscent of Principote in Mykonos. While it doesn’t quite reach that level, it’s still a nice effort overall.

The staff are polite, and the service is generally good. The sunbeds are very comfortable, and a big plus is that it's the only beach bar in the area where you don’t need to cross the road to get to the restroom — a small but much-appreciated detail. It’s also conveniently located right next to the parking lot across from the National Stadium.

The umbrellas are knitted, which makes them stylish but less effective at providing full shade, especially during peak sun hours.

They’ve recently introduced a minimum spend policy:

€25 for front-row beach umbrellas

€15 for the rest

This can be reasonable if you’re in a group, but it’s not so solo-friendly. Be aware that prices are on the higher side, and the place overall is not cheap. That said, when I last tried the food (two years ago), it was very good.

In summary: If you’re looking for a trendy beach bar with comfort and convenience, this is a solid option—just better suited to groups than...

I’m Greek but I’ll write in English! Prices are 2 times higher or maybe 2.5 times higher than other places! That’s fine by me it’s their right to price anything they want! But 17€ for Ouzo is just funny for me! And it wasn’t the ouzo they had on the menu they brought another one! So if you wanna have very high prices the service has to be at the same standard! My experience was one of the slowest services of Kalamata! The food was ok but nothing special! For my opinion there are way better beach bars to go too but that’s just me! Also we ordered sushi which had a single hair going all over each sushi! That I don’t really care about! I didn’t ask them to take it back cause we all know they would bring me the same one back but who knows! All I wanna say I respect people pricing their business however they wish but treat the people that pay these higher prices with more respect! I don’t like to beg to order something!

POSITIVE Environment: excellent, relaxing, cozy, beautiful, nice. NEGATIVE Service: the most unprofessional service. There were only very few people, but the waiter seemed too arrogant to bother to bring us the menu. So, we had to order without a "menu". He never brought. He was bored to bring it. He insisted that we all order whatever we wanted without seeing the menu or catalog with drinks, etc. He said: "Why do you need a catalog? You can order without a catalog". I have never encountered such a behaviour by a waiter. It was hard for me to believe what was happening in front of my eyes. It has been totally unprofessional and lazy service. Bad attitude.
