Poseidon Ocean View — Restaurant in Municipality of Kalamata

One of the best places to eat something out of the ordinary in a very cozy and idyllic setting with a fantastic view to the beach of Kalamata. The owner is a chef with awards for his recipes and his restaurants in the united states. On the menu you'll find several creative and high cuisine servings and some classic recipes with a gastronomic twist. Even the cheeseburger comes with wagyu meat, their own homemade sauce and handmade fries. Everything we tried from salads and starters, to main dishes, dessert and cocktails were easily above average, actually closer to perfect. Very tasty and at a decent quantity for an upscale place like this. The service was on par with the food quality, efficient, fast and very polite, ready to serve your every desire. The prices were reasonable for the quality of the ingredients, the food, taste and execution. For a gourmet place, you could say that the servings come at an above the average quantity. All in all, a very pleasant experience that I can recommend without any hesitation at all. Congrats to the chef...

Poseidon Oceanview restaurant has a wonderful, classy and inviting atmosphere. The professionalism, etiquette and service are of the highest quality. My impression is based on my appraisal of the owner's character, having met him a couple of times. Seeing the attention to detail and diligence he puts into preparations for reopening, he really cares about the dining experience of his customers.

I had the opportunity to see the extensive collection of awards and certifications adorning one of the interior restaurant walls. It makes me feel admiration, respect and reverence, for the chef and owner of the establishment, Mr Demetrios Pyliotis, for what he has accomplished, both locally and abroad, in Miami, as well as his determination and perseverance, that must have been necessary to achieve these results.

This restaurant is one of a kind in Kalamata. Absolutely gorgeous decor, classy arrangement and relaxing coastal vibes. The live music last night added a relaxing element I have never experienced in Kalamata.

I had the Cyclades salad which was fantastic. A perfect combination of flavors that I couldn’t get enough of. For the main course I had the filet mignon which was so tender and cooked perfectly. Dessert was an orange pie paired with ice cream. Every dish was honestly a piece of art and tasted even better than it looked.

The staff was amazing starting with the hostess who was very inviting, to the waitress who was attentive and last but not least the owner who came to my table several times to see that everything was to my satisfaction.

I highly recommend this place and would happily come here again...
