We had a very bad experience at this restaurant. First of all, we waited an unreasonably long time just for someone to take our order — no one seemed to care that we were sitting there for ages.

The shrimp dish was a joke: just 5 tiny shrimp floating in some watery “shrimp soup” — and it cost €16! You can’t even remotely get full from it, and it felt like a rip-off.

Then came the pork souvlaki — cold, tasteless, no sauce, no seasoning, not even a sprinkle of salt or pepper. And guess what? They didn’t bring any salt or pepper to the table either. Just dry, cold meat on a plate. Completely unacceptable.

The only thing that saved the evening was the beautiful view and the delicious Kalamata olives. But sadly, no scenery can make up for overpriced, poorly served food and indifferent service.

Lovely location overlooking the sea with a view of the sunset - except tourists are not welcome. Sat down during a relatively quiet time (End of October, maybe 4 other families sat down in the large outdoor area) for drinks and dinner. Ordered drinks, which did not come. Flagged down a waiter to order food and drinks again, which failed to materialise. It's also worth bearing in mind that many dishes from the menu were unavailable. Two waiters working, clearing tables leisurely, on their phones, and serving the Greek families around us as a priority (a family of 6 were served food and drinks within minutes even though they sat down after us). We ended up leaving as we did not even receive our beer orders after 45 minutes - so cannot...

Rooms are clean,decent furniture,wifi is good and the most important....10 seconds away from the sea,and on the ground floor one of the best traditional restaurants in Kalamata ''TABAKIS".The prices are very good for the rooms and you could also rent for long term use with even lower prices!!Just make your reservations early enough because many people over the last years choose this rooms for their staying in the town.Sofia,the lady that is responsible for this hotel is a very friendly and warm person and will help you with anything you may need during your staying in Kalamata.||PS: Don't forget to try the Moussaka or fresh fishes from the...
