An incredibly professional team served us a delicious family friendly dinner. But there was a little bit of Greek charm missing compared to some of the other meals we have enjoyed in Kos.
I realized very quickly that I maybe should have gone home and put some trousers on as this is a "nice" restaurant not the sort of place that I felt comfortable stepping off the beach into. On top of that It's very early in the season and dining with a 5 year old often means we are the first sat down in a restaurant. The airy garden conservatory immediately charmed the little one, she took her seat and played as we decided what to eat.
We ordered too much and it was all delicious. I didn't realize the kebabs would be served with fries and for me that doesn't feel right when you have also ordered taboulé and potatoes. Our waiter probably should have told us we ordered too much. The beef liver was excellent and a huge portion. The taboulé and cheese balls were banging. The meatballs and pork kebab lacked a bit of seasoning and depth to my palet but everything was well cooked.
The wine list looked good but we opted for the house wine, which went down too well so we had to order another carafe.
Everything was perfect and I have no complaints. A big clean restaurant with a very professional team. I just missed a tiny bit of charm and attention that some of the other kos restaurants have afforded us...
Read moreThe food is totally amazing, but the waiter with a flower tattoo on the left arm, he must be fired! I have never been so badly and ruddily treated in a restaurant like I was by him! He made a scandal, shouting, screaming with me, because the menu was left on the table and got a little bit wet by the water and wine sweating. He then screamed it costed 20€ each and he would have to pay for it, as if I intentionally wet the menu or something like that... First of all, doesn't matter what, you don't scream with a customer, second I didn't made it in purpose and third a menu been wet on a restaurant, is something that happens, it's part of the costs of the business, I'm sorry if you don't know that but you don't have the right to be rude with a customer!!! Note, regarding the food, which is amazing and this would have been a five star if it was not the waiter experience, the Lamb Kapama is something out of this...
Read moreThis place absolutely deserves all the high reviews! The hospitality was genuinely welcoming and from the moment we arrived. We felt encouraged to hang out and enjoy the ambiance of the terrace, without the usual pressure to order more or leave.
We dropped in for dinner and enjoyed a very reasonably priced 0.5L house wine with a starter of bread and olives. The bread was thick, dense, and moist, and the olives the freshest we've had between Europe and the Middle East! We ordered the steamed mussels and grilled Elia main (grilled beef, chicken, and lamb). The mussels were fresh and buttery, and the grilled meats were tender and flavorful, and included fries and fresh tzatziki that was incredible.
This is a lovely spot for authentic Greek cuisine and hospitality in a pretty touristy area....
