As a local I never write bad reviews and always avoid touristic-trap restaurants to eat . It happened to be Sunday and the only place available to grab something quick for a colleague of mine to eat for their break. As I entered I found the waiter sitting and having his legs on the chair above the level of the table . I asked politely for the food and waited when I started feeling extremely uncomfortable and disturbed by their looks and attitude as they thought I’m a tourist . A blonde lady in her 50s probably that works there whom I had direct eye contact was talking about me with no shame thinking I wouldn’t understand , when a young colleague of her stopped her. As soon as all I left I could hear loud laughs and sexist jokes , something they do to everybody that passes by them . My advice is to avoid places like that , they overcharge you for bad quality food and vibes ! Believe me we have so many better places on the island with decent food and stuff that actually cares for your good experience . I’m really sorry for giving this comment but that incident wasn’t something I could...
Read moreUnfortunately only 3 stars :(. Food is great however service has some room for improvement. Also part of the restaurant is on the street without any cover so climate is moderate. When it comes to food grilled haloumi and sea bass are delicious. Wine was also very good. About service: when we came we have been offered worst table at the entrance, when we said thank you and wanted to leave, it turned out there are other tables available. First service was very good however when we finished (and ladies next to us) we waited 15 minutes for someone. When we finally asked for dessert menu (and ladies for check) we waited again 10 minutes. Then we received check and them dessert menu. Waiters were busy talking to people waiting for the table instead of serving us. Very different to other restaurants we...
Read moreGreat place in a charming square. My husband and I spent a few hours here one evening. The beer was reasonably priced and I got a good fruit l smoothie, which seemed to be mixed with yoghurt or ice cream. We stayed for dinner and were very glad we did - Ambrosia served best moussaka I had all trip, and my husband really enjoyed his kleftiko. I would also recommend the dolmades we had as a starter.
I would have liked to have seen face masks used a more consistently, and ones of the servers touched my husband’s shoulders a few times, which was too close contact during coronavirus. I’m pretty sure the staff also shouted at us across the square another day to get our custom... we will happily come back when the pandemic is over for the food and view, but no...
