Thalassini Avra — Restaurant in Municipality of Malevizi

We had eaten a meal a half hour before so we just wanted to hear some Greek music on a Saturday night - the place had 2 female and one male waiter - we got the male waiter we were seated for quite a long time when the waiter finally showed up we were in the process of changing tables but the waiter seemed to dismiss this and wanted to take the order I explained we are changing tables because there were smokers on both sides of our table and we don’t smoke - he left and didn’t come back for over 10 minutes by that time I was reallyyyy thirsty and getting irritated as it was a hot night and we had walked quite a bit to get there - we ordered a bottled 1 liter water and a plate of grilled sardines - finely after about 15 minutes the sardines came and they were awful -the scales where on it still the taste presentation was quite greasy - we trudged through the meal trying to enjoy the Greek music, but when the bill came this male waiter charged us 5 euro instead of the 2 euro 1 liter bottle if water stating one has gas and the other doesn’t - my partner was clear we wanted the 2 euro option even pointing with his finger when he was ordering - so next time to be clear I would record the ordering process with your phone to ensure that such sordid discrepancies do not happen and you have a record of it. If such a disengenuious place exists why go back ? We WON’T - zlsmoking and drinking and not keeping track of your bill seems what this waiter would prefer?our stomachs still hurt as I write this review - - these grilled sardines settled like a rock - no go for this place in Crete across from the Creta beach - there’s plenty of the places to...

Ok… this wasn’t good… it is forking fantastic!!

The food AND ambiance is beyond great! The name of the cook is Angel. I guess that why it tasted so good… He is very talented and maybe he has got some help from above?😉

I went here two times, on monday, no live music in the end of the season. First time on Sunday, great atmosphere, live music, dancing, drinking, great food. Second time on a Monday (still food touched by heaven). There was no live music, but still there is a great ambiance. People are super friendly, guests also. I went alone and was invited to dance and party together.

Every woman here names Maria except for Anna, her is name is Anna.. Manos is very friendly, funny, and serious about his work. But above of it all he’s tall. I guess like 3 meters, but maybe that’s because one of the Maria’s is not so tall 😉

Would I go here again??...

We went despite rather than because of the music. The food was very disappointing. The sea bream was overcooked and dry. Couldn’t discern any spices and even the sauce it came with had little flavor. The fish was served on a large platter with salad that was largely past its best and looked like supermarket salad out of a bag. The grilled vegetables looked promising but were cold and tasteless. My husband was assured the vine leaves he ordered were made fresh by the restaurant but he said they tasted like the canned ones. Overall we regretted our decision...
