Ornos beach is outstanding- so much so I would consider staying here instead of Mykonos. The water is crystal blue, warm and shallow. The beach is lovely and about 250m long with lots of beds and the town is close by. We loved it but it is expensive and hard to justify - having walked along and asked prices of beds - as you look towards the sea when you arrive (you all arrive in the same spot) to the right /middle it’s fine and about €40 a bed and far right (looks dirtier to me…€30). Straight in front there are some thick brown coloured beds associated with Porto restaurant that are €40-45 and to the left a club / bar €55-65. Whilst we went to Porto, we didn’t eat there as the owner on the beach (not the 2 young Greek lads) was not nice. I can’t say how I feel on here… anyway to help others Pros a supermarket within 75m and 4 coffee shops/cafes with lots of options for those that don’t want to be ripped off. beach is smart and safe bars and restaurants €2 bus from Mykonos every 30 mins (though doesn’t necessarily leave on time at all!!) and 10 mins.
Cons there isn’t a lot of space if you don’t want a bed and beds/umbrellas aren’t cheap. It’s the worst part. But there are spaces on the beach if you don’t want one. Beds are €30-50 each…. the restaurants on the beach / associated with each set of beds suck. All overpriced...

Read moreIt is a windless beach in the south of Korfos, with regular transport, a large number of hotels, restaurants and cafes/bars that offer services from morning until late at night. Ornos is one of the busiest and ""family"" beaches of the island that are located in its southwestern part. The general area has been developed into an almost autonomous tourist settlement, with the beach located at the bottom of the large and safe bay of the same name, facing south.
Ornos can be accessed either from the new regional road or from the Town - Agios Ioannis provincial road. The road is asphalted and in excellent condition. There is relatively limited space for parking, but there are 2 parking spots: one for 5 euros and the other for 10 euros.
Its clean sandy beach with fine white sand and sheltered shallow blue-green waters make it ideal for families with children. Besides the easy access, it is one of those beaches that the north wind doesn't effect.
At the end of the beach there is a free space...
