Ornos beach is outstanding- so much so I would consider staying here instead of Mykonos. The water is crystal blue, warm and shallow. The beach is lovely and about 250m long with lots of beds and the town is close by. We loved it but it is expensive and hard to justify - having walked along and asked prices of beds - as you look towards the sea when you arrive (you all arrive in the same spot) to the right /middle it’s fine and about €40 a bed and far right (looks dirtier to me…€30). Straight in front there are some thick brown coloured beds associated with Porto restaurant that are €40-45 and to the left a club / bar €55-65. Whilst we went to Porto, we didn’t eat there as the owner on the beach (not the 2 young Greek lads) was not nice. I can’t say how I feel on here… anyway to help others Pros a supermarket within 75m and 4 coffee shops/cafes with lots of options for those that don’t want to be ripped off. beach is smart and safe bars and restaurants €2 bus from Mykonos every 30 mins (though doesn’t necessarily leave on time at all!!) and 10 mins.

Cons there isn’t a lot of space if you don’t want a bed and beds/umbrellas aren’t cheap. It’s the worst part. But there are spaces on the beach if you don’t want one. Beds are €30-50 each…. the restaurants on the beach / associated with each set of beds suck. All overpriced...

The beach is beautiful and popular among tourists, so that, most of the time is pretty crowded, also will find some boats floating in the bay. If you are planning to stay or have fun at this beach, arrive early to get the best for your money.

There are some few free lots for parking at the beach and in the surrounding area you will find more at private parkings, try to arrive early, use the public bus or just if you like walking is a 3.4 kilometres distance from Mykonos Town, roughly a 45 minutes walk.

If you like bustling beaches with loud music you will love this place and will worth your money if you stay for the whole day.

The beach has cristal clear and calmly waters and is shallow, good if you are enjoying your visit with kids, sometimes you will find some few litter floating but nothing to worry about.

There is also a free zone where you can stay without paying extra, also if you book a table at the nearby restaurants you can ask for sun-beds to stay at the beach.

There are days where you can enjoy this beach without crowds, no matter whether is in or out of season, but if you feel lucky try a day within...

It is a windless beach in the south of Korfos, with regular transport, a large number of hotels, restaurants and cafes/bars that offer services from morning until late at night. Ornos is one of the busiest and ""family"" beaches of the island that are located in its southwestern part. The general area has been developed into an almost autonomous tourist settlement, with the beach located at the bottom of the large and safe bay of the same name, facing south.

Ornos can be accessed either from the new regional road or from the Town - Agios Ioannis provincial road. The road is asphalted and in excellent condition. There is relatively limited space for parking, but there are 2 parking spots: one for 5 euros and the other for 10 euros.

Its clean sandy beach with fine white sand and sheltered shallow blue-green waters make it ideal for families with children. Besides the easy access, it is one of those beaches that the north wind doesn't effect.

At the end of the beach there is a free space...

Calm beautiful water with many parked boats which abstracts the views. The sun beds are literally on top of each other and the price to rent one of them increases by 10€ per row as you get closer to the water. In my view, it is ridiculous….The place we wanted to rent the sum beds (all the way to the right) had three rows with prices ranging from €40 to €60 each. There is a very small patch of free 🤦‍♀️sand all the way to the right passed the Aperanto restaurant but people literally lay on top of each other. You can get a table at Aperanto on the beach and enjoy the views or even go take a swim without paying this ridiculous money for overcrowded beach with blasting music and obstructed by boats and yachts.

This beach is quite beautiful, but it’s packed with day beds at fairly expensive prices (40-50 € for a pair). The free parts of the beach are very limited and get full quickly. The water is very clear and you can see small fishes swim around your feet. There are no rocks, all sand. We paid for day beds on one day and spent our day on the beach on the very first row of beds, closest to the water. We picked the area with the yellow umbrellas; they had the best prices for beds and for food. We enjoyed are day there, but it’s pricey, relative to most beach days on most of our vacations. Maybe this is the norm in Europe, but we are not used to this level of commercialization.
