I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kamaraki, a charming Greek restaurant that left me absolutely delighted. From the moment I stepped inside, I knew I was in for a memorable culinary experience. The warm and inviting ambiance, combined with the tantalizing aroma of authentic Greek dishes, set the stage for an unforgettable evening.
The restaurant's decor perfectly captured the essence of Greece, with rustic stone walls adorned with traditional artworks and vibrant blue accents reminiscent of the Mediterranean Sea. Soft Greek music playing in the background added a delightful touch to the overall atmosphere, making me feel like I had been transported to the streets of Naxos.
The service at was impeccable. The staff greeted me with genuine smiles and made me feel like an honored guest throughout the evening. They were attentive without being intrusive, and their knowledge of the menu was impressive. They gladly answered my questions and provided recommendations that perfectly matched my preferences.
Now, let's talk about the star of the show - the food! The menu featured a diverse array of Greek delicacies, making it hard to choose just a few dishes.
For the main course, I opted for the classic Moussaka, and it was a revelation! Layers of tender eggplant, seasoned ground lamb, and creamy béchamel sauce combined in a harmonious dance of flavors. Each bite was a delightful balance of textures and tastes, leaving me craving for more.
To complement my meal, I chose a glass of their house-made Greek wine, and it was
What truly sets Kamaraki apart is their commitment to using fresh and authentic ingredients, which shines through in every dish. The flavors were genuine and transported me back to the fond memories of my travels to Naxos Island.
In addition to the delightful food and top-notch service, the restaurant's cleanliness and attention to detail were commendable. The tables were immaculate, and the restroom facilities were well-maintained.
Overall, my dining experience at Kamaraki was nothing short of exceptional. I left with a contented heart and a desire to return soon. Whether you're a Greek cuisine enthusiast or a curious foodie looking to explore new flavors, this restaurant is an absolute must- visit.
Kamaraki truly captures the soul of Greece through its warm ambiance, delectable dishes, and gracious hospitality. Bravo to the entire team for creating a culinary journey that will linger in my memory for years to come. I'll be eagerly awaiting my next visit to savor the delightful tastes of Greece once again. Kudos to Kamaraki for a truly...
Read moreUnfortunately, this restaurant left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth. I travel widely in Europe, and have been in Greece, eating out successfully, for several weeks. NEVER have I been charged a "service charge" on the bill for serving 2 people - and to clarify, this is not for bread, olives, water, etc (which we declined) - a charge, apparently, just for the privilege of sitting down. At a table that is off the main strip, and in October, with only 2 other tables filled...
This service charge was an additional €3 for 2 people. We sent back a 1/2 L of house wine that was warm (white), and asked for it to be replaced. This wine was also on the initial bill.
The octopus in vingegar was perfectly cooked and delicious, with a mix of inedible, chewy pieces. A cold baked eggplant dish tasted overpoweringly of raw garlic (from a garlic lover!). The baked pork lemon dish was phenomenal, but after this ridiculous service charge (in Naxos, in the off-season and off the main strip) , I wouldn't return. Before the bill, we had talked about returning to re-order the awesome baked pork dish. They did reverse the charge for the wine we didn't drink. But not the service charge, the nature of which I still do not understand. This feels like such a tourist cash-grab, and thus far in my travels, has been...
Read moreIf you are going to read some useless nasty comments left by people from one particular country then you should absolutely ignore them. I am picky b when it comes to food and I was gonna go to some fancy shmansy restaurant (where they had no tables available), so ended up coming here. The food was banging. Service was fast and staff were cool. There is a calico cat based around this restaurant, so if you will be one of them complaining about food for no reason then be ready to get scratched on your back. Food is fresh. It is cooked freshly. We had Naxian salad - 10/10, Naxian fries 11/10, grilled octopus - 100/10 and fresh fried small fishes - absolute banger 1000000+/10. So if you are picky and would rather eat at some tourist trap/mcdonalds then you should absolutely avoid this place and leave an available table for those with a great taste, surely hotel can cater some microwave food for you. This is a hidden gem for those appreciating...
