After being badgered all week to go into this bar for dinner and drinks we decided we would on our last night, go in there for dinner. That was our first mistake. All the waiters and bar staff were stood around chatting and almost didn't even notice we had walked in. The waiter was very solemn and didn't smile once the whole time he served us. We ordered our food and drinks and asked that my 2 years old school dinner came out as soon as it was cooked which is was. However he hardly ate any of his sausage and chips (which he loves) because it was extremely greasy. When the rest of our 4 meals came out my eldest daughter said the carbonra tasted a bit like plastic. My younger daughter said her baguette was overcooked and only ate the chicken out of it and the chips. My baguette was extra crispy in places but I was hungry so I ate it but the chips that came with it were luke warm and the coleslaw wasn't even worth putting on the plate as there was soon little of it. My Husbands meatballs on pasta came out and the meatballs were cold, the offered to cook him a fresh one and 20 minutes later after we had all finished our meals my husband got his meal. The meatballs were dry but hot and the spaghetti was very sweet tasting which was not to my Husbands taste but after waiting soo long and the kids getting restless he ate it. When he challenged the waiter about a discount of 4euros he was rude about it and made it feel like it was our fault we didn't enjoy the food there but eventually gave the 4euro discount after telling us we should of told them at the beginning of the meal instead of at the end and walked off without replying to my husband saying thank you despite our last evening meal being ruined. Having eaten out every night on our 10 day holiday this was the only occasion I was disappointed. I know I would never eat there again and would discourage anyone I know from...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhat abominable treatment we received! Having been to Sidari about 10 times over recent years and into Madison's Bar several times each visit, both during the day for food and drinks whilst using the beach sunbeds and for the evening entertainment. We were absolutely shocked by the attitude of the staff on our recent visit. We went to the "free" sunbeds, and no sooner had we sat down they asked us if we wanted drinks. We said no thank you as we would be in for lunch and drinks as we usually do. 5 minutes later they asked about drinks again. We gave the same reply. Again the waiter came to us and said the manager said we "must buy drinks". We said again we would be in for lunch and drinks where we would be spending about 80 euros+ for 4 people. We ordered 2 bottles of water as we did not want other drinks until lunchtime. The waiter returned and told us to leave the sunbeds as we had not ordered enough drinks and other people had heard us order only water. He said we needed to be made an "example" of. Other people had also heard us say we were going in for lunch and drinks. We went into the bar and ask to speak with the manager- They refused. We discussed the situation with the bar staff again where we explained what we usually do on when at the beach. The staff would not accept this and stated that they monitor what people on the sunbeds spend. Obviously we left and had a very pleasant lunch elsewhere with the use of comfortable sunbeds. We black listed Madison's for the remainder of our holiday and will black list it on any future visits to Sidari due to the shocking and appalling service we received. Their...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreYOUR FEMALE PARTNERS ARE NOT SAFE HERE
We went for the fantastic tribute act. The female singer was awesome fair play to her. Being an ex lord and doorman I noticed some real issues. You buy a pint, in a pint glass, The next time you go to the bar that glass changes to a tall glass that's half a pint but the price stays the same. It's a bit of a con, it's not a safe environment for women not by any means. Men! Keep a close eye on your women. Locals are on the prowl in this venue, anyway, the tribute was great as I said but once she left the atmosphere drastically changed. My lovely partner had a great time, singing and dancing her heart out bless her. She especially loved the lady gaga 2nd act. Up until after the tribute act left. The staff had "friends" come in as an all-male group who started to mock the customers. Throwing things at the women deliberately trying to cause upset, trying to start fights. Thinking it was cool. The staff didn't intervene. In fact, they were laughing too. This really upset my partner she was having a great time until the staff had their friends over. Suddenly she became a target. I removed her from the situation immediately. I hope the other males did the same for their partners.!!! A warning to all tourists !!! Your women are not safe in this venue if you care about their safety DO NOT GO HERE!!! I cannot stress this enough it's a real danger. From all my years in the industry, this is a serious incident waiting to happen. Safety 1st ALWAYS. Women are...
