We visited a couple of times whilst on holiday, great live music, unfortunately on our second visit (Sat 1st July, which was our last night) it was spoilt by a fight that broke out. The fight started because a gentleman didn't like that there was a toddler sat just 6 feet away from the speakers and I have to agree with him, I thought it was a disgrace. The mother of the child (who works in the bar as a waitress) and her family argued that because the toddler was in the bar every night, she was used to the loud music.
The guy who voiced his opinion was berated by the waitress and her family and him and his wife left. They later came back and a fight broke out, the singer jumped off the stage to stop the fight and then when he returned he was clearly angry and it kind of ruined the atmosphere.
After the fight was over the waitress was walking around laughing and smiling and didn't seem to really care that by having her toddler in the bar she had caused such a big problem.
Even if the parents can't be responsible I feel the bar owners should have been.
A loud rock music venue is no place for a toddler, especially 6 feet from the speakers.
The drinks are a bit more expensive than most places but I suppose that is justified because of the good music. The music was excellent, especially George, I felt really bad that his set was ruined. The staff were really friendly and the drinks were good but on this occasion they let themselves down by not safeguarding...
Read moreA dirty looking kind of place, drinks a bit on the exspensive side. Popcorn given with drinks which is fine IF in these covid times any popcorn left by a customer is chucked away and not recycled. Once bar became busy very little in the way of social distancing, bars and serving staff had face masks ...but did not use them at all! . Service is lacking you can sit with a empty glass for ever without anyone asking you, if you might like another drink, only way to get a new drink is to call for service. Entertainer "jane" worked hard and tried to please everyone she is a good singer. .bar had some kind of very agrovating siren they sounded every few songs .. tv not turned of when...
Read moreWe went mid August 2020 to Sidari, it's the only rock bar there really, was having to shut at midnight due to the covid restrictions that week. Good atmosphere when there was a proper band on and when the DJ Rick plays some tunes. Not a fan of kareoke as most of us rockers aren't, what we want is live music and failing that just play rock music, not difficult. Drink wise definitely stick to sealed beer or cider as the spirits are DEFINITELY watered down and not a bit either, rediculously so, a double and you can hardly taste the rum and vodka you can't taste anything even though you see the bar staff free...
