OLYMPIA FAMILY — Restaurant in Municipality of Northern Corfu

My girlfriend and I came here on a cool quiet weekend evening and were told they were 'sorry but afraid' they were fully booked...! This was completely untrue, as the place was almost wholly empty all evening, as we then dined very happily right opposite and could see inside this 'family' restaurant. Another couple we observed also went in and came out immediately...if the chef was sick that evening it is better to just say so. It seems the management didn't want to do any work, as the restaurant remained almost empty. There's no point in owning or paying rent on a prime location if you treat potential customers like this! Lovely restaurant at the fine dining end of the spectrum in Agios Stefanos. Real table cloths and nice furniture, very friendly (English speaking) wait staff; the owner comes out to say hello too. Extensive menu of Greek dishes, including traditional stews, grilled items, seafood etc. This restaurant has also gone out of its way to be wheelchair accessible. It was a lovely experience to have a freshly prepared lunch by the pool with a beautiful view of the beach of San Stefanos. Stelios and Vassilis put their heart into their family business. Stelios has a very warm and welcoming attitude to host his guests while Vassilis runs the kitchen and prepares delicious meals. I enjoyed having a swim in the pool after lunch. The restaurant and the pool are well looked after, clean and surrounded by flowers....
