This place is a well kept secret, it is simply is a lovely place. The setting is perfect. A small hotel facing the best beach in Corfu. A large bay with clean hard flat sand which shelves gradually, making the beach a safe place for children to play and swim. It is set in the old part of Agios Stefanos and is quiet and peaceful, the main noise being the sound of waves breaking on the sand.
The hotel is traditional and is small, you get a personal service. A real family run hotel, with plenty of space to relax and a wonderful pool.
You will meet all the family. Theodora runs the kitchen which produces the best home made traditional food in Agios Stefanos, I know I have tried meals in most of the other restaurants. You can have the set menu, which changes every day, or a la carte. You can actually witness a hog, lamb or chicken being spit roasted, you can't get more home cooked than that!
The restaurant is managed by the charming Spiros who has a great sense of humour, which I appreciate, but most importantly I see that he strives to meet your every need, even for the fussiest or youngest client. Nothing is too much trouble. Most nights Spiros will gather up the other staff at a convenient time and they will entertain guests with a range of traditional Greek dances. The staff are very good with visiting children and will try to involve them in special dances that they can easily do, much to the delight of their families and other guests.
George makes sure that the beautiful gardens are well kept, he also grows some of the vegetables and herbs used in the cooking and of course mint for the mojitos!
The surrounding area is perfect for olive grove or cliff top walks, where you can visit neighbouring resorts or the town of Avliotes both worth a visit.
I shall be back there again, it is the nearest place to...

Everyone there was of the same mindset as us, relax, relax and relax and that's what this hotel encourages you to do, sit back and relax.|Location wise it's pretty good, across the street your at the beach. You also have three other restaurants to chose from right on the hotel steps, a supermarket to your right also. What more could you ask for?|The bar has a wide variety of drinks available and the two brothers Dasius and Raphael are great guys. Anthony is on hand all evening to help out with Everything and a great guy to have a chat with. Speros during the day is also good to but has those old grumpy uncle vibes, but when you get past that he's actually a pussycat.|The thing that really grabbed me was the amount of people who told us how many years they had been returning to the hotel, something that i would be happy to do also.|All in all we had a great stay and met some wonderful people who we hope to see again, also Anthony, Raphael, Dasius, speros and of course George.|Good luck to everyone and may the wind always be at back, and the sun in your...
Read moreThe Best Ever Holiday In San Stefanos. I have been visiting San Stefanos for over 30 years and have eaten at Nafsika but not stayed before. I chose to stay at the hotel this year it was near the beach with easy access, due to health issues. I really wish I had stayed before as in my opinion it is the best hotel by far. Our flight was delayed, so we arrived very late but were made to feel so welcome. We were made an amazing meal of our choosing with a great wine selection by Anthony. Our room was spotlessly clean and unlike other places was cleaned every day. The bed, pillows and bedding were the most comfortable I have stayed anywhere, and despite my health problems I slept perfectly every night. The aircon was obviously brand new and so quiet. The view was to die for. We really enjoyed our breakfast every day with George. The continental was more than enough, and on the occasion we ordered some extras it was brilliant value for money and plentiful. The yogurt and honey was amazing. We were half board but had intended to eat out a few evenings, we didnât. The food was the most traditional and best I have ever eaten in Greece. Three courses, a salad, bread and a dip just faultless. If you donât stay here book a table to eat, you wonât be sorry. The pool is huge for the number of rooms, with both shade and sunny spots. All the staff were helpful and welcoming and we felt at home so much so that while we were there we booked for next year. We really canât...
