MISTRAL — Restaurant in Municipality of Northern Corfu

Perfection from start to finish. This was our first visit to Mistral although by no means our first time in San Stef. We ordered brushetta to share for a starter, a simple dish but when served on light crisp bread with a delightful mixture of herbs it turns into a taste sensation a perfect start . Followed by for my wife, sea bass, again presented and cooked to perfection, I had calamari lightly dusted with flour and again a taste sensation. Just when we thought it could not get any better, to finish, and something I regard myself as an expert on, portokalopita ( orange cake) well , speechless, the juiciest succulent cake I have ever tasted, Heaven. The tavern was a highlight of the vacations! So delicious food (especially the "slices of aubergine with tomato and feta" - the eggplant is deep fried and deliciously crispy) and a view directly to the sea. Moreover, the sun beds in front of the tavern can be used for free if you consume something in the tavern. But what makes the tavern really special is the friendly waiter, who always greeted us with a big smile. Had a nice evening. However the next morning my wife was extremely unwell with sickness and diahorria. As we'd eaten and shared the same food all day until the mistral restaurant we can only pin point food poisoning to the prawns she ate there.
