SandHill — Restaurant in Municipality of Northern Corfu

We initially called in Sandhills Restaurant for a couple of glasses of wine each to enjoy watching the beautiful sunset from the drinks area. While we sat, we chatted to the owners wife, who was extremely friendly and very, very efficient in her job.

In fact, we were so blown away by how good the food was presented, we decided to book a table for the following evening. I'm so glad we did, I chose the crispy coated chicken stuffed with cheese, and served with mash potato and BBQ sauce and veg, my husband had the swordfish. Both our meals were outstanding, served very hot and perfectly cooked.

The lovely lady who greets you and takes your order is the owners wife, and she made us both feel really welcome.

The prices are actually not too bad, considering the amount of effort gone into the restaurant itself. It really is high end standard, but not extortionate prices.

We decided to dine there again on our last evening, and once again we was not disappointed.

Sand Hill Restaurant and Cocktail Bar Agios Stefanos Avlioton Corfu Sand hill is fantastic. From the moment you walk through the door the atmosphere is calm welcoming bright clean airy a beautiful place to spend time as a couple with friends with family. The menu caters for all tastes and all appetites, there is something for everyone, chosen from the best that Greece Corfu and the wider Mediterranean has to be offer including fish dishes,meat dishes, vegetarian dishes. The ingredients are fresh and locally sourced and prepared with talent and care and amazing presentation by the Chef and his team. The portion sizes are perfect. Front of house, Hannah and her team tend to your every need from the moment you cross the threshold to the moment you leave. Nothing is to much trouble We found Sand Hill by accident we returned three times within one week and travelled to do so, we will be back next year in September and look forward to dinning at Sand Hill again Thank you to you and your team Hannah you were a significant part of making our holiday...

Came here at the end of the holiday for a treat and with high expectations, unfortunately I had the opposite experience to what I was hoping for.

Food wise we had the calamari to start which tasted like rubber and didn’t get touched (we also had it the Taverna o Manthos place next door where it was delicious). I ordered the stuffed pork and the group ordered 3 souvlaki mixes. All of the meat was incredibly dry, mine got replaced but the others were not.

It was quite an uncomfortable experience because we’re not the types of people to complain about food and I understand that affects what the staff can do to help, but it was pretty clear that barely any of the kalamari or meat was eaten.

Other than replacing the dry pork and a free scoop of ice cream there was no effort made from the staff to make anything up. When I paid I wasn’t even asked if the food was okay (probably because they knew it wasn’t looking at our plates).

Just a sad way to end a lovely holiday, I’ll definitely be returning to the place next door for the last...
