We dined at Thasalla last August. The food was good (but not exceptional) the atmosphere pleasant, though rather (and unjustificably) expensive for the local standards. In our experience, the most annoying part of our dinner was to pay 4 euro for a tiny stuff tomato! This was almost unbelievable (and unbeatable for this class of restaurants). It was alao annoying the conversation with the restaurant owner when we shown our surprise for this price, which was regularly stated in the menu. We found very "funny" that he claimed we were the first ones to complain in five years.
We are a professional banking and consulting couple who haa dined also at higher class of restaurants.
General recommendation: avoid all the restaurants on the shore and look for the hidden gems one or two km (max) inland: for the same price of a vegetarian Thasalla dinner, you could have fresh and well cooked fish in a even more authentic...
Read moreWorst food in Corfu, 2nd worst in Greece (in 6 different trips). Sadly, the service was ok (the waitress was friendly and we did not wait too long for the food) and the location right by the sea, but the food was a rip off. The lamb was probably cooked the day before and tasted like it was reheated in the microwave. The shrimps tasted more like cheese. The fries, advertised as freshly cut on the menu were undoubtedly the frozen variety. The only acceptable thing we ordered was the tzatziki and the pita it came with garlic. I could probably cook better than this and that's saying something. It felt like the cook did not even try, they just wanted our money...we walked away with the feeling we were ripped off. I know these people rely on reviews like these and I don't want to be mean, just honest and fair. I feel that a place like this does not deserve to be...
