The Local — Restaurant in Municipality of Northern Corfu

We went in was told there was a greek night so yes we thought let's do it . We waited at least ¾of an hour waiting to be served drinks and waited at least another half hour to order food . The waiter was extremely stressed and it seemed there were only 2 on . We sat patiently waiting for the food we ordered and was on the verge of leaving when 2 of the main meals arrived one of the group had ordered a starter but we never got that. After 10mins we enquired about the other 2 meals to be told there was a glitch on the system and hadn't been prepared we could clearly see them on the order he showed us, at this point we'd had enough and decided to leave the waiter said the other meals would take 5 mins to prepare but we declined saying enough was enough we shared our mains with the other 2 ppl present . We asked for the bill and was presented with a bill for the starter we never received we got that deducted and walked out other diners had faced similar. I spoke with the front of house and she was really upset she said the place was under new management and hadn't been serving many customers, she explained that new staff were starting the following week . The food we had was nice but the whole experience was shocking I really hope...

We were quite disappointed with this restaurant. On arrival we were greeted by a friendly young lady and shown to our seat. We ordered a 0.5 litre of beer as advertised and a carafe of sangria. The beer arrived in a 0.4 litre glass and when we queried the difference in what was advertised we were told the menu was wrong but we weren’t offfered a reduced price even though the 0.5 litre bottle of beer was the same price. The sangria had no fruit in it either I then chose a gyros wrap off the menu to be told that they stopped serving wraps at 6.00 pm even though it didn’t say that on my menu. Apparently it was hand written on some menus but not all, that wraps and burgers were not served after 6 pm The chicken souvlaki was quite bland. The mixed gyros was ok but nothing to shout about. The service was very slow. We waited 50 mins for our food. Yes the place was busy but still a long wait. Trying to get the attention of the waiters was hard. No one came and asked if we were ok or if we wanted anything else to drink . The desert menu was never offered The menu definitely needs reprinting as it is false advertising I would...

I had a pizza at the local today which was the greca, I don’t like olives so simply asked if they could be taken off and added with chicken if possible. The chef said yes to that. However I was then waiting another 15-20 minutes after my companions received their food so I was left without food for a while. Then my pizza arrived…it was supposed to just have feta onions and chicken, however it had mushrooms and peppers on which I don’t like very much. The crust of the pizza was kind of cooked, however the middle of the pizza still looked raw and was very soggy. I would have asked for a replacement pizza however my companions had already finished all their food and no one came over to check the food was ok until we asked for the bill. I was told next time the pizza would be better but I still had to pay for a pizza I hardly ate and was disgusting and uncooked. Don’t think I will come to this...
