La Cantina Favela — Restaurant in Municipality of Palaio Faliro

First of all the review from the American friend it seems fake to me ( Texas bro ? Really ? Last time I checked toddler baby meals were bigger in Texas then the ones served here ), used to live in America and let me tell you that even Taco bell serves better and bigger plates. The chimichanga came and it was more of a burrito in disguise , the so called fajitas looked like mini tacos , the chicken was nowhere to be found either , both plates combined had at most 60 grams of chicken , let me tell you that When I order chicken I want some chicken inside my food . The plates looked so small that I was wondering if I was at a Mexican restaurant or at another Italian gourmet restaurant that happens to serve one or two Mexican plates . The place was hot as hell , no air conditioning at all , some fans here and there that were just noisy . Ok you got the Mexican culture and style with the decoration , the cheap mix match thrift store chairs and the fans but you need to make real Mexican food with big portions too . The plates came without the nachos or the rice on the side like on every other Mexican restaurant out there , they didn't ask if we want bottled water ( Greek tap water by the way is the best)they just brought it and charged us for , the beer was hotter than my urine, but the staff was funny and enjoyable . Don't go there to eat , go there to drink some cocktails ( they good at it ) and if its Thursday then tacos for 1 euro and 5 euro margaritas sounds like a super deal . La cantina gourmet aka wannabe favela has to be the real name...

Saturday night... The worst service by far. 30 mins to bring the menu, 70 mins to order, 90 mins to bring our first courses, 120 mins to get our drinks....Also a lot of menu courses are unavailable including the cocktails. The delay (included many tables) could cover all the good parts of the place which are the music band, the tasty food and the nice atmosphere. Also the bill came in only 50 seconds after request.... Nobody from the staff wearing safety masks except one person in service. Unfortunately another place switch into touristic insta spot without any respect to the customers... ( Picanha's cut on the picture was absolutely not a picanha cut but some small pieces of beef...

Extremely pleasant, well maintained and fun environment. Strong colors, with the predominant red, brighten up the place. The night's entertainment made by the excellent Junior ​​Maran and his band guarantee a night of lots of dancing in the Latin rhythm of Brazil. Unfortunately we couldn't eat due to the lack of many items on the menu. They should organize themselves more in this regard. The service is also very slow, only the good music of the Brazilian boys can make us forget and soothe our irritation. Be better in service please It's a shame such an interesting and pleasant place with such poor service. So there will be one less...
