Vitello Trattoria Romana — Restaurant in Municipality of Palaio Faliro

First, the food is phenomenal. Really great. All seating is outside and walled in so if it’s hot, it’s so hot. There is no breeze that will come through and they have no fans.

I got a glass of wine that was corked - brown and smelled strongly of alcohol. One tiny taste and it was confirmed. This started the bad service. The waitress brought another glass, clearly from the same bottle, same result. I asked for something different and she said “ all of our wines are stored outside”. At that point I was redirected to the male server and asked him where the wines were stored and he just cut me off and rudely said “what do you want”.

The young male and female server are more interested in each other than working.

Finally, I asked for my check and you have to go into the restaurant to pay with a card. I did so and the male server took the machine, pushed a button to choose his own tip and just gave me the receipt. It was several Euros higher than my initial bill. That’s stealing in my opinion and probably part of the reason that the customer must come inside.

My husband and I were visiting Greece after a Viking cruise for our last few days of vacation, and I found this restaurant while we were out walking one evening. We walked in off the street and there was a bit of a wait for a table because they were BUSY! (A good sign, if you ask me!) We were finally seated and ordered our wine and meal. I ordered the Lasagnotto w/ shrimp and proscuitto, my husband ordered Risotto with osso bucco. (Sp) Our meal arrived and it was DIVINE! My pasta was perfect, and the proscuitto was the perfect complement to the tons of shrimp in my dish! Mark’s beef melted in your mouth like butter, and the risotto was beautiful and golden, creamy and delicious. We ordered the house red and white wines, and they were not disappointing either! We liked the red so much we bought a bottle to take with us. (Black Squirrel). This lovely trattoria will check all your boxes…beautiful, local casual atmosphere, passionate attention creating your food and presentation of your meal; lovely, friendly staff serving your meal. For dessert, try the Panna Cotta…it will be the perfect ending to a lovely...

Wow - what an amazing atmosphere this little restaurant has 💝 Went there for dinner and their food is exquisite 👌🏻 It is a bit on the expensive side - but it is really delicious. The only thing I did not like was that we ordered a bottle of wine and while we were waiting for our food the waiter brought us focaccia with some cream cheese - really delicious- but we never ordered it and thought it was from the restaurant - as many Greek restaurants give you something sweet at the end. But when the bill came they charged us for it - even though we never ordered it 😟 The restaurant though do offer a wonderful panacotta at the end after your meal - which you don’t pay for.
