Speranza Italian Dining — Restaurant in Municipality of Piraeus

After a few failed attempts to visit Speranza, I finally was able to make it today for lunch. Amidst the “xamos” of this port city streets and make do shops that. I enter to the celebration of Italian home cooking kingdom. Owned by the kindest two souls and manned by a wonderful smiling and professional team, this amazing shop offers refined comfort food in an authentic and sophisticated experience. I had the pasta amatricciana (of course made with fresh pasta) that was a mind blowing experience in taste, quality and quantity. The tiramisu was an experience on its own. I also asked for a portion to take away so my wife can share the joy. The best way to finish of course is a bit of grappa alongside the unavoidable after meal espresso. Having a busy schedule, I donno when I can visit again, but I am definitely going back soon. I just love visiting restaurants that raise the bar higher, they are the main drivers, movers and shakers of a more developed food scene Thank you for the great hospitality...

Brilliant food and service, if in the area you should go, it is well worth a visit.

Staff friendly and answer queries, and are efficient, modifications/requests for listed dishes accommodated. The place is kept very clean, and nicely laid out interior. Very good staff.

Water placed on table when ordering, and bread brought with meal. Good selection of drinks, are very good coffee to round of a meal.

Reasonably varied menu, in Greek and English. Have standard menu and daily specials.

Food is very tasty, good portion size, and reasonably priced. Used by locals as well as visitors.
