My boyfriend and I had an amazing meal at Agrimia. All the staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. I can’t believe anyone would give this restaurant anything less than a 10/10 review. We were absolutely amazed that the price was only €35 for two of us stuffing our faces on tasty dishes and drinking good wine! As we checked out the menu in the street, we were advised by a member of staff as to the different vegan friendly meals they have to offer after we had mentioned that we did not eat meat. He even went to great lengths to note the ingredients which were from Crete itself that would comprise our different meal choices. Once we had sat down, the gentleman advised us to take the mezze option so we could try all different kinds of dishes. We took this wise advice, along with a recommendation of the house white wine. My only regret is that we were too full to get an extended mezze in order to include the fennel pie (which I am certain would have been just as delicious as the meal we ate). The complimentary olives to begin were so flavoursome, and the mezze as a main (comprised of stuffed vine leaves, fresh green beans, butter beans in a passata, a delectable mushroom plate which I forgot to ask for the recipe to, and a Greek take on spring rolls) satisfied our tastebuds, stomachs, and the atmosphere for our first night on the islands Kriti. They even booked us a taxi to our apartment after presenting us with complimentary raki post meal. Kudos to the chef and house staff for running such a beautiful, relaxing establishment with such fantastic cuisine. We thank you for helping make our night one to...

At first we purposely chose this restaurant because they had Playroom for the kids and the staff at the front was so nice. But everything spoiled after I sit, the front staff busy approaching new customers, maybe his duty. So nobody comes to take order for 15 minutes. The lady staff that take order duty was only busy taking care of other tables even she saw me looking at her but she totally ignored me with her not friendly eyes. She only mingled around all other tables by talking nicely with other customers and never come to visit our table to ask how are we doing, do we need anything. She also talk in not nice way to my kids when they accidentally bring the toys outside. This is the first time I see in Greece, staff in restaurant not friendly with the kids while they providing Playroom for kids. We visited many restaurants while we stay here for 3weeks, everyone was so kind and nice, we were very happy and always give tips because we truly appreciate their hospitality. But for this restaurant, most of the staff attitude especially the lady, first time I felt want to leave the restaurant without having their food. But still we order food and drinks. I feel she is racist or I don’t know why. She totally don’t care about us while she is the only one who take order for all customer. At last the front staff that serve us on the first place, he took our order and do most of the work, he is good staff. Sorry to say, I will not visit this restaurant anymore after discrimination from the staff here. It was silent...

Fantastic experience! My girlfriend and I opted to eat here on our first night in crete. The staff and the food were equally fantastic. Staff were welcoming and helped us choose the best dishes and also happy to recommend what was best value for our money. We were recommended the mezze comprising of 5 full dishes! Each dish was rich with flavour and the grilled mushrooms were particularly outstanding! Our waiter recommended the wine for us but did not pressure or try to sell to us. When we explaiend that we normally drink red wine we were offered the house wine but were also reccomended to try the house white wine. A great shout as the wine was excellent. A full meal for 2 and 2 halfs of wine came to €35. We were also treated to some raki on the house at the end of our meal which further demonstrated how the staff were willing to go above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience in their restaurant. Our waiter was happy to chat and socialise and really made our first night on the island a night to remember. At the end of our meal we asked if they could sort a taxi for us and were more than happy to call one for us which arrived directly outside the restaurant. Excellent value for money, incredibly flavoursome food made from fresh and local produce and...

Friend brought us here and it was absolutely phenomenal - a must visit for anyone! We had a mix of appetisers and the main mix grill! Saganaki - deliciously cheesy! A new favourite of mine! Grilled octopus - this was INCREDIBLE! An absolute must order! Grilled shrimps - very nice! The oyster mushrooms in balsamic source was gorg! Unfortunately I cannot remember the name of the bacon-like appetiser but this was delicious on it's own and paired with the mushroom! Mixed grill was generously portioned and had pork, Crete burgers (beautifully spiced!), ribs, and more! On a bed of chips! Had some ouzo and lemonade to accompany the meal! Like liquorice for anyone who hasn't tried! We had some desserts to finish the meal off - an absolutely stunning panna cotta, an orange cake, and some vanilla ice cream! A perfect end to the perfect meal! Staff were absolutely lovely; the venue was beautifully decorated and really nice to sit outside in the warm evening! Thank you!

Good food, very big portions, excellent service! The restaurant is located in the old town of Rethymno, on one of the wider streets - so it has a nice, spacious outdoor dining area; I liked the clean and nicely decorated tables. The service is simply excellent; despite the fact that it's quite busy, the servers are always ready to assist you with a smile and a suggestion for lunch. The food is good, though they added a bit too much salt for my taste, so talk to the server if this concerns you. The food portions are very big and after a lunch at this restaurant (Cretan salad and a chicken main course) I decided to skip dinner that night. Prices are very good for the location. I recommend this location if you're looking for a good place to eat a satisfying meal in the old town of Rethymno.

Not our best experience. There were three tables of people who had already eaten when we arrived, otherwise the place was empty. Our dolmades came relatively quickly and then we waited… and waited… and waited. For 35-40 minutes before our entrees arrived. I had the sea bream which was just fish and potatoes (no vegetables) and my hubby had the shrimp with rice. He fared much better than I did but his meal was a lot more expensive than mine. Our server was pleasant but sat eating her dinner and surfing on her phone with no mention of the incredibly long wait we had. Then, on presentation of the bill she had the nerve to ask for a tip. We will not return.
