Italian Pizza & Pasta — Restaurant in Municipality of Rethymnon

Seeing the words “Italian pizza” paired with such great reviews, I didn’t hesitate to step in and give it a try. I ordered the chicken pizza, and unfortunately, it was a real letdown. The cheese, tomatoes, and chicken were all incredibly bland—no distinct flavors at all. Honestly, you could get the same quality from any average pizzeria. I’m not saying it was terrible overall, but by Italian standards, it was definitely disappointing. The ingredients clearly weren’t authentic Italian products. They served the pizza on cardboard plates and didn’t check in to see if everything was alright, but that didn’t bother me much. What really mattered was the flavor—and instead of Italian quality, I ended up with something no better than a typical neighborhood...

Poor food for undemanding or desperate tourists who are fed up with monotonous Greek cuisine. The pasta dishes are edible but it is really low level Italian cuisine. It all depends on whether you've eaten well before - if you're delighted with what you've eaten here - the culinary world is waiting for you to discover it. "Carbonara" and the other pasta with sausage almost identical in taste. You had to add a lot of salt and pepper for them to have any flavour at all. Poor quality pasta, overcooked. "Carbonara" of course on sour cream, but at least they warn about it on the menu. Portions large and served warm, so...

The one star is for the behavior of the server at the counter. We came here on the day after Christmas and were asking for coffee. She was very rude and had a very bad attitude. It comes as a surprise since this is a tourist place. It just made us bitter. Being a tourist place and having such good ratings, we thought it must be worth it! I ended up only ordering coffee because the way the lady behaved just made us leave. Not coming back again in my entire stay...
