Mojo Burgers — Restaurant in Municipality of Rethymnon

Discovered this place by accident while looking for food in the port area, and it was SUCH A GOOD DECISION!

Instead of spending double(or triple) the money sitting next to water and have 200 people walk past us, we sat in a relatively quiet street, enjoyed a beer from a frozen glass and had our burgers (two large classic burgers with chips for 11 euros) in less than 15 minutes.

The burgers were delicious, soft buns and large patties. Some customer had written BEST BURGER EVER on the wall and they were not too far off. The burgers were in fact so good, that we decided to come back the next day to try out some other burgers (mind you - we were in Rethymno for only two days and chose to have BOTH of our dinnertime meals there)

Second time we ordered one Blues Brothers burger and one Elvis burger (with the Mojo sauce instead of BBQ sauce), along with some onion rings (for this and a beer paid around 25 euros and were more than full for the evening). The onion rings were REAL ONION RINGS. They were nice thick slices of onion that tasted like they were made freshly just for us (which they most likely were).

I could go on a long time, but the short conclusion is - me and my partner enjoyed the food, the location, the beer, the prices, the staff and the atmosphere VERY much.

Probably one of the best hamburgers I’ve had on Crete. Funky atmosphere in a picturesque location close to the historic harbor.

Adding to this on 3 August 2022. Taking my rating down a star because of the experience I had today. Have been to Mojo Burger multiple times — alone and with others — always satisfied. Today I had cousins visiting from NYC (one of them is a restaurant owner) and I was enthusiastically talking up the place. Plus, all three of us were famished. Looked up the hours on Google and it stated that MB opens at 12:00 Noon. We showed up at Noon and it was obvious that they hadn’t even started unstacking and setting up the tables and chairs. I asked an older guy what the deal was and he sheepishly mumbled something about not being open yet. Duh! There wasn’t even an excuse or an apology. Can’t understand why they wouldn’t be open on a day when the place was crawling with tourists. Needless to say, we were greatly disappointed and it left me with a bad feeling. I still love MB’s product, but they really need to get their act together — or correct the hours that are...

Arrived in a small, cozy vault in the middle of the beautiful old town of Rethymno, you will get the opportunity to see thousands of individual immortalizations of other guests from all the walls. The atmosphere is very familiar and cozy, the music nice. Mojo Burger's menu offers mainly different sandwich and burger creations. Due to many wall paintings of other guests, which statement "the best burger ever" in several languages, we decided to go with a vegetarian burger, as well as a tomato-guacamole burger called 'Bob Marley' . Despite my versatile burger experience, I must confess that it was one of the juiciest and best burger and creations ever. In addition, the friendly service and a sweet local, make the whole - just in terms of price - always repeatable.
