Unassuming entrance, menu in many languages, extremely friendly staff and food that far exceeded our expectations and my writing skills. The actual dining area is up a clean flight of stairs on an awning covered rooftop patio with wonderful views of the Acropolis and a sweeping Lindos panorama. The waiter, chef and all staff were very patient and forthcoming when we kept changing our order on account of my son having allergies to some ingredients. They have a great way for you to cool off in the shade with a large, quiet fan that also blows a gentle water spray offering some much needed respite from the heat with a refreshing breeze while you wait for your order. And once we got our food - oh boy! We usually eat well and have dined in some pretty good places, but for me this one made memories of Lindos smell and taste like amazing Mediterranean cuisine. Servings were full, ingredients fresh and of the highest quality, and coffee is second to none! And, as a bonus, when my daughter left her phone in the bathroom the nice gentleman found it for her and held onto it until we had a chance to return for it. I will definitely look for the next opportunity to visit Lindos and will most certainly lunch and dine with my family at the Delight. Highly recommend it to everyone as this restaurant is truly deserving of its name. Five stars...
Read morePure Racism, Stay Away from This Place! After two weeks in Greece, visiting stunning islands like Mykonos, Santorini, and Paros, Rhodes was our final stop. Unfortunately, here we experienced the worst dining experience of our entire trip in an absolute dive of a restaurant called Delight Restaurant Lindos.
From the very beginning, the waiter treated us with a mix of disdain and open hostility. We politely asked for the bill several times, only to be met with an indifferent “yes” and continued ignorance. In the end, we had to walk downstairs ourselves to pay. The owner did apologize while the waiter sat there smirking and laughing at us.
The whole interaction had a clear racist undertone: we were treated differently and with much less respect simply because we were not Greek. The difference in behavior towards us compared to other guests was extreme and impossible to ignore.
Bottom line: If you don’t want to risk being discriminated against based on your origin or language, avoid this place at all costs. In a country famous for its hospitality, this was the absolute low point of our journey and in an establishment that cannot even remotely compare to the quality of other Greek restaurants. Don’t be fooled by the obviously bought...
Read moreWe were looking for some good Greek food for lunch, but unfortunately ended up in this place.
First the good part: The restaurant looked clean, the waiter/owner seemed friendly, and they have a nice rooftop terrace.
Now for the rest: Although not even half of the tables were occupied, we were told that the kitchen was too busy meaning we couldn't order what we actually wanted. While picking an alternative we were told that there weren't mashed potatoes but only oven roasted potatoes (ok, fine, we were really hungry so we were willing to go with this instead). However, what we got was floppy fries (not oven roasted potatoes) as well as half of a tomato and 1/4 cucumber (this was supposed to be "seasonable vegetables"). The meat was "ok", but the rest was just a (bad) joke in my opinion. We felt really fooled for the price of the meals and would not recommend this restaurant at all.
The only reason we wouldn't give 1 star is because the meat was ok and you could eat something and because the...
