Wanted to have a romantic dinner without kids and it started off well: great location with nice interior design and cool vibe great choice of food nice music lots of service staff to take care of your needs
We made a reservation which was not necessary.
Unfortunately the evening ended up rather disappointing and we left leaving 100€ for one starter (tiradito), bread and two mains + 2x drinks each (wine and beer).
Food was great but not wow: tiradito had great flavour and was nicely presented but didn’t have the taste that was described in the menu (leche de Tigre ❌) mains (chicken and fish) were super nice but then she 1-2 things that made it only 4/5, e.g. Roquefort cheese with the chicken - whyyy?!!
Service was a disaster for a place that wants to stand out: service staff partially didn’t speak English which would be fine unless it’s the only person paying attention to you 🙁 when asked about how the chicken, iberico or lamb were prepared, our waiter (the EN speaking one) decided to consult with more senior staff and they just guess and said „it’s grilled“ which made me go away from the dark meat to the chicken which I don’t think was true — chicken wasn’t grilled for sure but I wonder how you could grill the other two we got wrong drinks twice we waited 10 minutes for desert and when nobody came, we approached the main waiter but he only gave us the drinks menu two management staff (ladies) were sitting by the bar the whole evening and looked so unmotivated that we felt unwelcome, specially after that service
If you want to run a place like this (with this ambition and prices, 40€ for a steak), then get the right management in and make it an experience for your customers.and please exchange the chairs inside, they are horrible if...
Read moreThe ambiance of the establishment itself it great, lovely interior. As the restaurant is fully open, you are sitting street side. So, on one hand you have the wonderful restaurant, but keep in mind that you also have the payment and a road next to it.
The service was great. One of the few places where the staff refills your wine glass, which is an excellent way to show that the waiters pay attention to the tables. The entire team was very friendly and hospitable.
The menu had a lot of great options. The number of dishes that we wished to taste will ensure that we will visit again during our stay to make sure that we do not skip anything! The beef, burrata salad and duck bao bun were great! I would not ordet the chicken breast again, but that is more of a personal preference. This does not mean that the quality was not good, but rather is my opinion on the breast part usually being on the dryer side.
Overall we highly recommend having dinner at Esan! The street-side dinner has its charms as we like watching people walk by. We will...

We reserved a table for two and were made to feel welcome from the moment we stepped into the restaurant. Nefeli and Ioanna were our hosts for the evening, and they were both incredibly professional, attentive, and genuinely caring throughout our visit.
We enjoyed a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc alongside the Shrimp Bon Bam—a delicious combination of fried shrimp, vegetables, and mango served in a unique type of local bread. The shi drum fillet was perfectly cooked and beautifully paired with cabbage and vegetables. The main dish truly stood out for its exceptional flavors and creative presentation—every bite was a delight.
For dessert, we had a wonderfully crafted sweet (though the name escapes us!), which wrapped up the evening perfectly. Compliments to the chef for delivering such high-quality, flavorful dishes.
If you're a food lover seeking a spot with outstanding cuisine and top-tier service, this restaurant is a must. Special thanks again to Nefeli and Ioanna—we hope to see...
