Please don’t eat here, if you are a visitor to the island you will waste your time and money!
Don’t be fooled by how the food looks relatively good, it isn’t
The view is above average! The starters we had were ok/good, these would get a 2/5, however the service was disgraceful, the manager treated us terribly, we ordered the steak and seafood pasta, the steak was stone cold, when I raised an issue they then heated up my steak and at the end when I asked the steak be removed from the bill since it was cold and over cooked they said if I had raised a serious issue they would have made a new one- the manager since replying to this has again lied to make the restaurant seem better than it is, shocking!
The seafood pasta was basically a tomato sauce thrown over pasta with seafood that had been cooked separately and was again cold- the manager has since replied saying the ingredients are shown however the ingredients that are described were shown as ‘fresh’ these were not fresh, the calamari was cold and almost frozen hence why it was entirely left as was inedible, and also why over half the pasta was left because again it was poor quality and the seafood was mostly inedible (again the response has lied to make the restaurant seem better) , really disappointing as we were charged €120 which was disgusting for the food and service we received, when we asked if some things could be knocked off the bill, they became defensive and treated us worse, the manager made the meal even more awkward and over all ruined what for the price should have been a great meal. (The manager says the steak was entirely consumed, since we were going out for dinner this was the only meal we had eaten this day hence being starving and having to accept the poorer quality food) he also spoke down to us when we asked about taking the steak off the bill which was rude and disrespectful
The happy hour request was because we ordered 1 drink within happy hour and one drink outside (so saying it was 2 hours outside is another blatant lie to try make the restaurant look better…) all we requested was that for all of our troubles they allow us to combine the drink that was ordered within happy hour with the drink that was outside, (they said we were entitled to a free drink however we didn’t want to stay in the horrible environment so we asked if they could reduce the second drink off the bill), they said no and used inappropriate language and stated us down as we left the restaurant, making us feel unsafe.
This is the worst dining experience I have ever received and really ruined our evening
The manager is horrible
We will most certainly not be giving you a second chance and are entirely shocked that you have even operating for over a decade and treat people so poorly, we would never recommend you to anybody and would tell anybody that your restaurant is a must avoid.
Having edited this review to respond to the owner/ manager I hope he takes a look at how he treats people who enter...
Read moreThe view from the rooftop is absolutely perfect—no doubt about it 👌🏼. However, the prices displayed on the street lured us into the restaurant under false pretenses.
The service was just okay, but the waiting time could have been better, especially since we were the only customers around 1:30 PM (though I'm not sure if anyone else was inside).
We scanned the menu from the sticker on the table, but didn’t notice the prices. Honestly, I probably wouldn't have ordered the most expensive gyros portion I’ve ever encountered if I had checked the price beforehand.
But that wasn’t even the worst part. Besides the gyros, I also ordered a classic Greek salad and a small beer. IMPORTANT: a “small beer” here isn’t the usual 330 ml—it’s even smaller at just 275 ml. I’m not a big beer drinker, but I’ve never seen such a tiny beer before!
The Greek salad was quite disappointing. The tomatoes were flavorless, and the white cheese was just as bland. Very odd. Maybe that’s how it is here, though this was my first meal in Rhodes, so I’m not sure.
Now, about the gyros. Aside from being the most expensive I’ve had (and I’ve been to Athens, Corfu, Kavala, and Lefkada), it was supposed to be a BIG portion for two people. Thankfully, my wife and I eat small meals, so we didn’t need to order another one 😂.
In the end, we paid 36.80 euros for one Greek salad, one gyros portion, two tiny Beck’s beers, and a cup of apple juice. That’s steep, in my opinion.
I expected it to be pricey at a second-row beach restaurant, but wow, they really went overboard...
Read moreThe waiter who took the order couldn't give suggestions, only he knew what the portions included. He couldn't say if the salad would be suitable for starter by size comparing to other starters and sides, or is it more like a meal. "Depends on how much you eat." Well, how big are they...?!
Starter halloumi&tomato 8€, greek side salad 5€, the salad section halloumi salad 11€.
I had moussaka with side greek salad and chocolate souffle. I was happy with the food I had though, the meal was excellent.
When I asked for the check, it didn't come. The dining tables are upstairs, like a roof terrace and downstairs is the bar. I didn't know it the bar was busy and when got tired of waiting, 10-15 minutes, I went down. There was nobody. The two workers were just sitting doing nothing. I said I asked for the check and they laughed a little. Before this, the service appeared to be very friendly, for the little that they provided.
I was the only customer in the house and I figured it was for a reason. It is sad, because the place was beautiful and decorated with nice ideas, not to mention the lovely view. Also the food was delicious, clearly the best moussaka I have had on this holiday.
The price range was strange comparing to other Ialysós restaurants in my experience. The moussaka was on the cheaper side, 11€, but the 1l mineral water the most expensive, 3€.
I don't know if I would give another change for this place, definitely not on...
