The guy at the entrance asked if we'd a reservation, as they were clearly busy, we hadn't, but he quickly found us a table. Lucky for us, Saturday and Sunday they have live music. Today being Sunday, we were treated to some lovely traditional Greek music, with some Rat Pack thrown in. We ordered several meze dishes, all lovely. Mixed grilled vegetables, courgette, roast potatoes with cheese, meatballs, chicken with mushrooms in garlic sauce and aubergine rolls plus pita bread. The food came out and was all lovely, tasty and well presented. We found one dish never arrived, this was quickly sorted. We ordered desserts, massive portions of Baklava and Kadaifi arrived, both gorgeous. The evening was finished with a free shot each. So glad we were turned away, rudely, from the Golden Dragon and ended up here instead. Top night, fab food, lovely quirky restaurant and great...
Read moreThis restaurant has some real authentic Greek dishes. One of the waiters was so kind to let a female friend go to the toilet and we got chatting, he showed me the menu and the food looked so good and the idea of some authentic home cooked Greek food really appealed to me. My wife and I ordered a set dish for 2. When the meal was served it came in a big earthanware dish and had so many different items I can't remember them all but what stuck out for me was the stifado and mousakka, absolutely delicious. The owner came out with a little kitten and it was cuteness overload so I showed him some pictures of my cats and we had a little chat, what a nice guy. If you are close by or in the area I would highly recommend this place if you want some authentic Greek food and a...
Read moreWe walked by on Saturday night as live music was playing; we'd already had dinner, but the owner's son told us there'd be live music in Sunday as well and it'd be the last night of the season. Next day, when we showed up, he welcomed us in as friends and we enjoyed an incredible dinner with live music. The kids had gyros (the best yet, according to my 10 year old) and fish fingers. My wife and I had a traditional Greek stew with lamb, pork, chicken, potatoes, carrots and mushrooms, also very delicious. We glad we chose it over the mixed grill (which I'm sure is good too), and in true Greek fashion, the portion was enough to feed all four of us. The desert, an assortment of Greek pastries (baklava and Kadaifi) was very nice as well. It was an experience we wouldn't have...
