Highly recommend a visit to Socrates Bar in Lindos town - The bar is a hidden gem, full of character! The bar plays rock music, and they often have live bands playing in the evenings. My family and I visited Socrates bar last time we visted Lindos (about 15 years ago), so when we came back to Lindos for our holiday this year we made a beeline to the bar in the hope it was still there as the place holds a lot of nostalgia for us. We weren't disappointed - The service was fantastic, and the staff were really friendly and happy to make conversation. The drinks were great too - we went there at around 7ish on most nights, and they had a happy hour on some of their cocktails, they also give you a little bowl of crisps which I thought was a nice touch. Probably the most famous and legendary bar in Lindos. From early 80s Socrates bar was the meeting point of all the celebrities including Sting and Pink Floyd. Actually Socrates the owner of the bar was very close friend of David Gilmour and Rick Wright.
