It always pains me to write a review below 4 stars because seldom does it happen that a place warrants it.

First off, a lot of the menu was not available, which ok, I understand menus change etc. but do not assume because you see a photo of the menu, that the meal you like will be available.

Second, we ordered the Green salad as it didn’t mention any cheese (sharing a salad with someone who cannot eat cheese), and the Green salad ended up coming with feta cheese sprinkled on top. The waitress apologised and they kindly swapped it to a new one, but maybe they need to update the description for this on the menu?

Third, my husband ordered a chicken dish but did ask before ordering if the dish was made with chicken breast. The waitress said yes, but when the dish arrived, it unfortunately was made with chicken thigh. I have no problem to eat this, but unfortunately my husband does, so he could not eat the meal. Again the waitress apologised, and thankfully they did not charge us for the dish, but of course this tainted the experience.

I ordered mini beef patties that were not on the menu, but was something they were serving. Unfortunately these were on the dry side despite being described as juicy. Also the waitress was vaping whilst on the job (not in customers faces but when stood in the reception area). Maybe this is allowed in Greece but I still don’t think it should be acceptable whilst you are serving customers.

I think overall we were unlucky with this experience as clearly the place has great reviews and has...

Located slightly away from the bustling city center, this peaceful and understated restaurant seems to be a favorite among the locals. Parking was effortless—a definite plus for those arriving by car. For starters, we ordered tzatziki, Greek salad, French fries, and marinated octopus. The fries paired surprisingly well with the tzatziki. That said, the Greek salad could have been more generous and flavorful; perhaps it needed a drizzle more olive oil or a touch more acidity. I have certainly had better. Still, the olives had a lovely depth of flavor, and the feta cheese was creamy and well-textured. The shrimp with tomato sauce and saganaki cheese showcased the kitchen’s strengths. The sauce was well-balanced, with sweetness and salinity in harmony. While my partner found the oiliness a bit heavy, I felt it added a richness that enhanced the dish. The undisputed star of the evening was the fried calamari—crisp on the outside, tender on the inside, with the clean taste of fresh oil. Served with lemon, it was a perfectly balanced plate. To end the meal, complimentary cookies were offered, providing a charming and flavorful close to the evening. A slightly dimmer lighting scheme could have created a more romantic and intimate taverna ambiance. Overall, a satisfying dining experience, with a strong showing in seafood dishes. On my next visit, I will certainly return for the...

If you’re visiting Rhodes and want a truly authentic taste of Greece, look no further than this incredible traditional Mediterranean taverna. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality that made us feel like part of the family.

The atmosphere is charmingly rustic, setting the perfect mood for a relaxed, unforgettable meal. The yard they have captures the spirit of Greek island life beautifully.

But the real star here is the food. Every dish bursts with flavor and tradition. The grilled octopus was perfectly tender with just the right smoky char. The keftedakia was rich, comforting, and clearly homemade, and the fresh seafood platter was an absolute showstopper — especially the calamari. We also tried their tzatziki, which was outstanding.

Don’t skip dessert — the kormos was divine, crunchy and drenched in just the right amount of chocolate , and paired perfectly with a glass of sweet local Muscat wine.

Service was impeccable — attentive, friendly, and full of great local recommendations. Prices are reasonable for the quality and portions, and you leave not just full, but happy.

This isn’t just a meal — it’s an experience. One that blends the best of Greek culinary heritage with heartfelt hospitality. A must-visit...

This place was highly recommended to us so we went there having high expectations. These weren’t met unfortunately as the food was nothing but ordinary so we had hard time understanding the fuzz about this place. Simple can be delicious but we didn’t quite feel that this time. We liked the wine and the service was good, so was the feta fried with honey and their homemade bread grilled with a splash of olive oil and thyme on it. The rest was nothing but average, where was the twist I’m wondering? Boring Greek salad and dry meatballs with no seasoning. Passable split pea dip. And above all: avoid the veal liver! It was far too bloody when served, unseasoned and too strong in taste. Plus we were never asked how we wanted it served (in case you claim otherwise) so it was an unpleasant surprise..

Best food in our week in Rhodes (and we had lots of yummy food)! Be awake that the portions are huge even though on the pictures it might look small. For two people I'd go for not more than 4 dishes. You can always order more. For us the highlights were the 6 hours stewed lamb shank, the feta tomato capers dish, also the honey feta was amazing. Also the feta yoghurt mix was very yummy. The only thing we didn't like as much and that we had better in other places was the calamari fried. It wasn't as tender. Nice staff with a lot of patience as another table weren't the easiest people and we heard they stayed friendly all the time. The location is very unexpected. Nice to walk there! Bring some food for the cats along the way 😁😸 Would definitely recommend to everyone who goes to Rhodes!
