O Core è Mamma — Restaurant in Municipality of Rhodes

First of all, the food was delicious. Pasta and pizza aswell as the appetizers were great. However, the service ruined our dining experience. The waiters were friendly, but the timing was aweful. My pizza arrived one minute after our appetizer was served, we did not have the chance to even start the appetizer. The waiter told us the other main would arrive a tiny bit later. This tiny bit turned out to be over 20 minutes later, when my girlfriend had to ask if her main dish was still coming. After this, the pasta arrived immediatly. When her pasta arrived i nearly finished my pizza already. After she finished her plate aswell, another waitress came to get our empty plates. After this we have been waiting for another 20 minutes to order some coffee but no one showed up. After this we decided just to get the bill, pay and leave. All winter they were closed and I was waiting with a lot of expectations to be able to eat over there. But the forst disappointed was the lack of menu in English. Everything was in greek, except the name of the dishes wich were in Italian. Let's say this is normal, we are in Greece, we cannot expect everybody to speak our national language. Finally we ordered a salad, pasta and pizza. The pizza was fat and it had only fresh leaves - the ingrediants you could wat at one bite. The disappointment didn't end there. In EVERY SINGLE DISH we found hair - in the parmesana, the pasta, the pizza, the sald... everywhere, e-v-e-r-y-w-h-e-r-e! The waitresses just said "we don't know how this happened, sorry" and that was it! Really disappointing place. Could be delicious... My taste was destroyed. For sure I...

The only downside is it being a bit out the way, and upsetting to think they won’t benefit from the tourist footfall. However this did make it feel very relaxed, romantic, and feel like a neighbourhood gem! The food was all perfect, flavours incredibly balanced, outstanding quality of homegrown ingredients - the basil was literally cut from the plants growing amongst the tables! All the food was made fresh from scratch, which meant it arrived at slightly different times, but this was no issue. The pasta couldn’t have been more spectacularly al dente.
