Taverna Anixis — Restaurant in Municipality of Rhodes

Went there because of the all good reviews and oh no and oh yes, but still no I wouldn't go again and cannot recommend sorry. ☹️

Mixed souvlaki all the meat cooked to well bone dry resulting to taste like nothing.

Chicken filet was ok, not ruined but just ok, nothing special.

Pizza margherita for kids, didn't taste anything even tho it's for kids at least we have used to some taste.

Then the positive! Mousaka very hot and taste was good, only thing is that I don't have any refrence, but I liked it,think that's the most important thing?

Service was good, but they didn't brothered to ask if everything tasted good or anything, kinda used to that.. Felt I didn't want to stay complaining, as the restaurant was kinda full of people enjoying their evening so marshed out paying the bill and hoping they would read the review which would courage the people working there raise the standards a bit...

Went twice while staying, had a main and a dessert the first evening, liked it so much that we decided to go back again on our last evening on Rhodes.

Not sure why other reviewers are moaning about the cost; for the price point, this was the best food we had on Rhodes. The vegetables that came with our mains were slightly different each time, giving the whole thing a feeling of "this is what we have available today so this is what you're getting", which was great. Food was delicious. Service was pretty fast for Rhodes, but still reassuringly slow, seemed obvious that everything was being made properly and to-order.

Nice waiter both times, welcoming and friendly. Absolutely beautiful views of the sea (we got a fantastic sunset on both evenings)....

Wow this place is absolutely fantastic, a little out of the main stripe but in my mind we'll worth the 5-10 minute walk (depending where your staying from!) As this traditional Greek Taverna is why we come to Greece every year. The food was cooked to perfection, the service was attentive yet unobtrusive. The waiter who serviced us was very impressed with our sons choice of whole fish which very much surprised him but even more so when he saw an empty plate! The view over to the sea was spectacular and the relaxed feel that all had in the restaurant made the evening so much more special. I'm sure we'll be back again in the coming days and anyone in Pefkos now I'd recommend giving it a go you won't be...
