Guesthouse Lila — Hotel in Municipality of Syros and Ermoupoli

The warm welcome was top notch. We benefitted from very helpful and accurate tips from Lila and Dimitrios on swimming, buses round the island and eating etc and we travelled far and wide. We thoroughly enjoyed our 8 days. Lila has designed a stylish cosmopolitan environment. Lila and Dimitrios have created a very friendly supportive environment. Due to our late booking we had to move to 3 different spacious rooms and the apartment with sea views was our favourite. The rooms are very comfortable and we'll equipped. We ate in a few times buying simple food locally and using the fridge and kettle. Breakfast is very good but for a longer stay more variety would be welcome. Sitting out for breakfast in the October sun was a treat. Visitors to Syros need to enjoy climbing steps because everywhere in Syros apart from the seafront seems to be up several flights of steps. Our stay at Lilas Guesthouse was absolutely incredible. Lila and Dimitris are exceptional hosts, saying they went above and beyond would be an understatement. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel completely at home. They are such genuinely kind and lovely people.

The guesthouse itself is beautiful: full of charm, character, elegance, everything was spotless, clean, and perfectly maintained. They even picked us up from the port and dropped us off, which was such a thoughtful touch. Breakfast was delicious every morning, and our daily conversations with them were a highlight of the trip.

Apart from the fact that no person would ever have a single problem with the beautiful rooms and the space, I would like to mention the hospitality I and my friends received. The hosts, Lila and Dimitris, objectively had no profit by helping us and offering us solutions. And despite that, they were always providing us information around Syros and were willing to help whenever an obstacle appeared in our way. Sometimes we Greeks brag about the greek hospitality, even though nowadays some would say this is more of an exception and less of a rule in Greece.
