Bazagiazi — Restaurant in Municipality of Thessaloniki

This place is very warm and the foods are delicious. The service is fast and waitress and the workers are friendly. We have tried all cheeses and there are many grilled cheese option. We went there for sea food actually and result is awsome. You have the opportunity to find fresh octopus, calamary and shrimps. Boiled mussels, octopus fried and calamary grilled are my favourite ones. On the other hand you should try shrimps saganaki. Some places bring this with only cheese but in here the souce was creamy with the combination of tomatoes and melted saganaki cheese. You can find various of beer, uzo and raki but our recommandation is try to taste local white wine. Aditionally, you may choose any red meat dish from the menu without hesitating because they are delicious too. Internet is also working fine. This place has become one of my favourite place and need to visit place in Theseloniki. You can easily reach there by walking 5 minutes from Aristoteles Square. This was our second time in Thessaloniki and this spot in the market was a real find. Fresh seafood, fish, best Taramosalata I have ever had (and I tried many variations across Greece and in North America). The service was friendly and attentive but also relaxed and non-intrusive. Do try unusual items on the menu, as opposed to just ordering fried calamari and fried fish. Those items will pleasantly surprise you. We visited on a Saturday night and the restaurant had a group of young musicians singing old Greek folk songs. They were just amazing!!!! Why on earth does this establishment have 4.4 stars? The food looked great but nothing wow in terms of taste, the owner put 4 slices of ordinary bread and a bottle of water in front of us. We then ordered, food ok, service ok. But at the end, instead of 40euros he asked us 47. (7 euros for the water and 4 pieces of basic bread that we did NOT asked for). I left 3 euros tip (because I'm a nice guy, for the bread tactic, he did not deserved). Scammy tactic!!!!! Why? Because you saw we are tourists? Left a very bad taste in my mouth.
