Ordered the “Vegan Avocado Toast” which is one of a dozen options on their standard menu. I have severe milk and egg allergies. It came out with 2 poached eggs on top, and I sent it back saying it wasn’t what I ordered, that I wanted the “vegan avocado toast” exactly as it was stated on the menu. After making it through half the toast with a fork and knife (the bread was black and so thick and tough I couldn’t bite it), I saw a large chunk of egg white on my plate, and more poached egg in the center. Within seconds my throat started to close up, and I had to run to grab a taxi and retrieve my epipen at our hotel. Someone in my party stayed to confirm that the chef had simply removed the poached eggs from the original dish, and carelessly reserved it to me. If I hadn’t been carrying Benadryl with me, it would have meant a hospital visit or worse for me. This would have been a pretty good cafe if my order had been right. I am giving them the benefit of the doubt because there is a bit of a language barrier. It was just very disappointing. I had ordered a make your own sweet crepe. I had asked for strawberry syrup and caramel syrup (specifically syrup, which is 0.50… not sauce which is like 2.00). Anyway, I ended up with caramel syrup AND sauce. So not only was there double caramel and no strawberry syrup, it was also more expensive. Extremely rude waitress, we walked in the restaurant, she firstly ignored us completely. The when we asked if we could get a table for two please, she replied with a single ‘NO!’, and walked away , turning dismissively to point outside, barked angrily “Only outside!’, and walked off. It was the rudest waitress I’ve ever met in my life, I initially really liked the menu and the vibe of the restaurant, but this one person really ruined the positivity.
