Georgia Studios — Hotel in Municipality of Thira

Hotel pictures are misleading.||This place violates all safety and public||health rules and you can catch serious||diseases if you don't pay attention||Our return flight was cancelled so we||needed to extend one more night in Santorini||where our first hotel was already fully||booked. We booked at this 4 starts hotel as||advertised at booking.com and got shocked||when we arrived to learn that we got a||basement room.||The room was dirty, smelly and in a very bad||condition that definitely doesn't reflect what||we have seen at booking.com pictures.||All bed linens, pillows, towels, blankets, got||remarkable stains from last guests with||remaining hair and dirt and some bugs.||We spoken to the hotel manager or owner||who seemed incredibly rude and said that's||what we booked!!||Dirt was everywhere at bathroom, flooring,||electrical devices, bed liners, doors!!!||We were very conscious of getting a disease at this property, so we checked out immediately!||When The hotel owner seen our online review, she tried to offer a refund in a condition of removing the review! ||Now you understand all positive reviews are...

Location: Center of Fira hence it is close to the city-center and all shops, restaurants, and even Mcdonald's.||Price: A little expensive considering they don't have breakfast included and there are no other amenities besides the room.||Amenities: None.||Parking: None. You have to search for a parking space outside or near the city center which is quite challenging considering the number of cars parked.||Comfort: ||- The room was nice, clean and complete. It is a studio so it has a mini stove, sink, elecric kettle and mini refrigerator. Cooking and eating utensils are also provided.||- Since the property is a little old, and doors are made of wood, it was quite hard to close and lock doors so you can hear from inside the room when neighbors try to open/close their doors. Also, since it's similar to an apartment style, they don't close the main doors so you can hear the loud music from outside till as late as 4 am.||Cleanliness: The entire property is clean and they clean rooms regularly.||||Conclusion: Won't go back....

We really enjoyed our stay at Georgia’s - the rooms were clean and nicely decorated, and the little kitchenette was very handy. Georgia’s hospitality and helpfulness is really great. She shared some of her homemade Greek sweet treats with us which was so nice of her. And a very a nice ‘homely’ touch to our stay. You are also situated very close to everything by staying here. Close to the bus station where you get off after catching the bus from the ferry port. This is handy if you want to catch a bus to other parts of the island. And you are less than a minute walk to everything in the main town of Fira. I would have given 5 stars if it wasn’t for the very soft mattress. Don’t get me wrong, the bed is very comfortable if you like/are used to sleeping on a very soft bed. And the sheets and bedding is good quality. It was just too soft for us.
