China Famous Foods - 溢香居 — Restaurant in Municipality of Thira

I’m here now I asked about three times if they can recommend me a dish and they kept ignoring me. Don’t get me wrong the food is delicious but when you have horrible service it only goes to show they they are only willing to get business from tourist. I hope the chef knows she is doing a great job and everyone outside is just ruining it for her. Santorini is beautiful everyone has been great! First Rude people I have ran into here in the island and yes they speak English because I heard them talk English to another table next to us. Come here for food and maybe ask the chef directly what they love to make.:)

I’m replying to your response and how original of you to call me Karen very stereotypical of you to come after someone who is trying to give you some constructive criticism. You seemed to be doing fine with the other tables who looked to be of Asian descent so there was clearly no issue with being understaffed there. SO CLOSE to 5* but the service is extremely slow here. Whilst the team are lovely and very honest with recommendations (even suggesting we ordered less food given portion sizes here) we had to wait a long time to be served, receive food and even receive the bill. Multiple groups of people were turned away and told to return in ‘ten minutes’ but there was clearly no waiting list which was frustrating for others.

HOWEVER - the food here really was fantastic. Very tasty whilst still being healthy with plenty of menu options at really affordable prices. This was our ‘last’ meal in Santorini and we were happy that we ended our trip with such a lovely evening out - it’s a shame that we didn’t find it beforehand!

A note to management - you clearly need more than 2 people serving and delivering dishes. You have a fantastic chef/team and your menu is a delight to read through. Please support your serving team by increasing capacity and also turn on the aircon/fans in the main eating area - these small changes will ensure a significantly improved experience...

Together with my partner we had a pleasure to dine in "China Famous Foods" in Santorini, and let me tell you, the place & food was all what we wished for! If you are looking for a good Chinese food and unsophisticated place (unlike half of restaurants in Santorini :)) "China Famous Foods" is your best bet. Unfortunately, no photos were taken, but we did order some egg-fried noodles with chicken, cold cucumbers, kung-pao and beef dumplings. Beef dumplings were great- good meat & tasty sauce. Cold cucumbers were my personal favourites as I really enjoyed their fresh and spicy taste! Excellent egg-fried noodles with chicken and a good portion of kung-pao contributed to our pleasant experience in this place. (Another personal highlight: You must try their coconut milk!) Moreover, what felt like a cherry on top, are affordable prices & a good-looking bill:) Overall, 5/5, a great restaurant to savour tasty...
