Kallisti — Restaurant in Municipality of Thira

We visited the restaurant during 2021 Christmas. This was one of the few restaurants open in Pyrgos. The owners (father and son) were very gracious in accommodating our dietary needs. Their menu was limited to what was in season. They cooked up a couple of salads and hearty dishes from their pantry (off menu dishes) and they were all delicious. They also asked us to call ahead of our return back to the area the following day so they could make a pasta dish and have it warm and ready for us! What a sweet little hidden gem. Great service, great prices, local feel and great food and portion sizes too, some dishes can even be big enough for two people. If you want the pork chops or pork steak, that could probably feed two. 😂 The bread and olive oil was my favorite in Santorini so far. Fantastic food, both with cooked local specialties and grilled dishes. Portions are big and ingredients are of excellent quality, and mostly locally sourced. We had fava, mini stuffed tomatoes, grilled feta, souvlaki and steak with freshly made fries. All absolutely excellent.
